+x+xGonna be interesting to see how all this goes down politically. Initially, I predict could be popular because everyone wants a Ferrari. But under debate there’s big risks. Firstly, be under no illusion a nuclear sub is a pure warship. It’s meant to attack and sink ships and that’s about it. Different from a diesel which is more of a surveillance asset - you can turn off a diesel and run on batteries sitting off a coast and can’t be heard by passive means, nuclear subs make a racket because the reactor can’t be shut down. And the reason The U.S wants us to have nuclear subs is to counter China, and China is now gonna see us as a direct threat. How’s that gonna go down? It’s really sticking your head up stuff. Secondly the cost. Nuclear sub cost around four times the cost of diesel both to build and to service - that’s a hard sell. And lastly. Of course the nuclear thing itself, gonna be hella divisive. Because I got no doubt no country is gonna have a nuclear sub or ship capability without then taking the step to nuclear energy, and in fact I bet it’s part of the tactic. I got a feeling it’s never gonna happen. Lots of interesting internal changes happening in China, with a lot of personal liberties beig curtailed. Yeah, bloody China huh… imagine living somewhere where the Govt takes away basic human rights…

+xSloop 3 years. Must’ve impressed Gus because it’s 100% a Gus signing. He flagged an extension the other day along with Potolo who you can pencil in as next. Patolo is a gun... both great young players...

+x+xThere's a page and survey on TK about which new player everyone is excited to see play next year... Many are picking Burton with JAC second and TPJ next. Im worried people are putting way too many expectations on Burton. The bloke is good dont get me wrong. He'll do his job and will do it eell enough. But he cant do the job of 10 others. My concern is people are going to be bitterly disapointed he wont "transform" the team the way they think he will. I believe the players that will make the biggest difference are Dufty at fullback and JAC on the wing. Unless our hookers and forwards chabge the way they play, dont expect big things from Burton. The biggest change will be Dufty and Burton running off Vaughan who can offload. Rather than make a 20-30m break, these guys along with JAC will finish it off. The one silver lining next year is that it will become glaringly obvious that we need to fix the hooker issue in 2023. Bookmark this post if you have to. I will make reference to it throughout next year Getting in nice and early mate… at least let him put the jersey on and the team play a handful of games before doubting and deriding… Hoping Zef can do one of his searchy things and find that post with you bagging Burton in I think the second game he filled in at half… he had an ordinary first half then the will of Mock saw him tear the opposition apart in the second half… And im curious about this post you talk about. I watched the game last year or maybe year before where he had about 5 field goal attempts and hit the post on 3 of them - game resulted in a draw. I praised him as one of the best young playmakers i had seen and predicted he would be a good player in future. Im certainly not deriding him. Im sure he'll do well. I just think its unfair to put so much pressure on him to change our fortunes and i hope some of these guys who have high expectations, dont turn on him if the team results dont go the way we want them to. TK guys already death ride Averillo.....

+xWow…Queensland… 1984 one day,, full Judge Dredd the next… Answer at least one randomly timed text message within 10 minutes or the cops will come knocking… awesome use of taxpayer dollars and police time… “This means Queensland Health will be able to ensure individuals in home quarantine are at the residence they’re lawfully required to be at,” Ms D’Ath said… How does responding to text ensure you are at the correct residence???… What if someone is taking a shit or shower???… I don’t take my phone in the shitter or shower and both can take longer than 10 minutes on occasion… Maybe they want to control your bowel movements or shower time...... they control every other aspect of our lives... It all started 2 years ago with water restrictions. They didnt want you to shower more than 3mins. Its all a conspiracy i tell ya!

Asiata for mine is a fantastic signing. Always rated him highly. He is perfect for the lock position in today’s game. I like how the pack is developing.
Playing Thompson and TPJ up front. With Vaughan and Ava subbing them. Jackson at lock with Asiata subbing. Hethrington and RFM if fit on the edges with Topine as the bench utility.
Looking a hell of a lot stronger. Especially with the added depth now and the young kids pushing through. We are still short some good edge forwards though. Unless TPJ plays there and if so we are short a middle.
We just might surprise a few teams next year

The big question for our club will be what positions do we need to strengthen in the future three years. With any luck we have some guns to fill spine positions in the lower grades. Rajab and Alamotti are going to play first grade soon from everything you hear. At least one is a halfback. We really lack any fullbacks, halves or hookers

If Dufty fires, it will be clear that we have to invest heavily on fullback spot. Either on him or someone equally as good. Same with Vaughan. After losing so much this year and next, he will be looking to boost his value on a long term deal.
