He is a business man, he doesn't care who lives or dies, as long as the money rolls in, or do you naive little dreamers think he wants only what's good for the supporters of his club.

You are more than welcome to stay in your little hidey hole till you die of old age trembling in fear if you wish.

Personally, I want to go to Hindmarsh this season

I think he is funding 1 club, the APL is funding Newcastle Jets for the time being. Don't get the facts all confused.

Fair enough. Some other gala was trying to tell me that WU and WSW owners were funding Newcastle NOT the other APL clubs and that this was proof that the Aleague is very strong financially ???? Don't know or care to be honest.

This was the official statement.
"Ownership of the Newcastle Jets has officially been transferred to a consortium of existing Australian Professional Leagues (APL) club investors, led by Sydney FC, Western United FC, and the Western Sydney Wanderers FC."

Not sure if that means all APL clubs, just those 3 or somewhere in between. Either way, Newcastle Jets are owned by their rivals. It's weird.

The upshot likely to be that all three clubs would get first dibs on any available players before the Jets.

And rightly so while the Jets live on life support, till a new owner is found.

Have often wondered,,,,

Say South Melbourne, was to purchase an A-L club, say the Jeks...

Once having secured the licence, move the team say to hhhhmmmm Hobart [just kidding Mono, I know its Adelaide] , and after moving rename the team...

Interesting then the rumour that the jets are chasing Jack Wilshere's signature.

Hmmmmmmm aarrrrghhhhh sounds like a good idea in theory Mid but unfortunately once bitten twice shy as they say. South have offered to buy the Newcastle license twice now, and the Wellington one a few years ago too if I remember correctly (and offered up to 20 mill to buy a license outright). All good will has gone and I dont think the board are stupid enough to explore that dead end again as the members would revolt.
Any group wanting to purchase a license of participation from APL will NOT be representing the South Melbourne Football Club and therefore can relocate to wherever they want... Good luck to Newcastle, maybe there is a bitcoin billionaire around the corner just waiting for the Paramount riches to start flowing in?????

Personally I live for the day that South play in the AL but would vastly prefer it to be because of promotion than purchasing a licence.

Same goes for Sydney Olympic but I reckon South are more likely to do it first.

Western United dude has the Newcastle "investment" splashed on the company website

Lederer said sale was immiment 8 months ago

Also reckoned Bakries would sell to the dodgy one who's APL vice now. Fong

Might as well listen to Rourke

Newcastle United are cannon fodder until someone buys. 9 points for their actual owners main interest

Makes no sense to lumber them with a pointless liability when try to sell.

That scenario is what the P/R clause was written to prevent.
