Lol- It was actually this exact article that made me think of him.
There are only two intellectually honest debate tactics: (a) pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s facts, or (b) pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s logic. All other debate tactics are intellectually dishonest - John T. Reed

Personally, and I know I'm not everyone, I would love an anti-vaxxer/freedum fighter to come and hassle me at my work. Would be so much fun telling them to fuck right off.

I told a mate who works in a relevant public facing role to have the line "it's a pity there's no vaccine for being a dickhead" ready to go at all times if anyone gives him any strife. Not sure if he'll go through with it though haha

To be fair the first few quotes of social media posts aka "news in 2021" were just about not wanting to work when it's busy or being worried about being out of lockdown with covid still around in general. Only the last story was about some dickhead using big words he read online and doesn't understand to make his argument sound intelligent aha

Has anyone listened to the Joe Rogan and Sanjay Gupta podcast? Seems like a good debate on the issue without getting too out of hand (Rogan being anti and Gupta being pro).

Tasmania's lockdown will lift at 6:00pm tonight Premier Peter Gutwein says there will be some additional restrictions.
Masks still need to be worn until 6:00pm on Friday.
Masks will apply indoors and outdoors for anyone 12 years and over unless in your own home or in your own vehicle driven either by yourself or with your immediate family.
Importantly, if you visit someone else's home, you must wear a mask.
If you leave the 12 LGAs which were under lockdown, or travel north out of that area, you must continue to wear your mask while you're in another part of the state.
If you're somebody travelling into the 12 LGAs from another part of the state, you will need to wear a mask as well.
Restrictions that currently apply for aged care and hospitals will remain in place until 6:00pm on Friday night.
If you're undertaking intense exercise, for example, running or cycling, you do not need to wear a mask.
Wear a mask in the office but if you're alone in an office or a work space by yourself, then you don't need to wear the mask unless someone enters the room and obviously that person should be wearing a mask.
If you're working by yourself in an outdoor space with nobody else around you, then you don't need to wear a mask.
You need to wear a mask to a restaurant or to a hotel but to eat and drink you can remove the mask.
In schools, masks are required for all students except those aged under 12 years or students at a primary school.
But importantly, for those 12-year-olds that might be still attending primary school, there's no need to wear a mask at school, but you need to wear your mask heading to school and leaving school.
Children should bring their own masks, however if your child attends a government school and doesn't have one, the school will supply one.
All teachers and school staff are required to wear masks subject to the same exemptions as others. But where clear enunciation is essential you can take a mask off, or while communicating with somebody who is a deaf, your mask can come off.
Like any other workers, exemptions will be provided for those with a physical or mental illness, condition or disability that makes the wearing of a mask unsuitable subject to suitable documentation.
Masks should be worn to and from school or community sport and when not actively participating.
Did everybody get that? Good. Because guaranteed when Friday kicks around only some mask laws will be removed. Its important we drive these zero cases from a false alarm right into the ground, not just now, but for the months to follow. And the only thing that can protect us from Covid is the same strategy we used in the early 1900s

Obviously he's trying to protect the network and his job by prevaricating. Not that that makes any of that OK. Got fair and squarely skewered by Rogan though.

Good old Anna. If you're double vaxxed and test negative you need to spend 2 weeks in home quarantine if you want to visit. What a joke. https://www.news.com.au/travel/queensland-premier-annastacia-palaszczuk-says-reopening-before-christmas-locked-in/news-story/10521f587d65e58de28219cadd693a59At least our bloke has some grey matter between his ears. Double vaxxed and -ve, good to go.

That's the point it's "cheap ammo", releases endorphins in people who think "mainstream media" are bad but it does little to convince anyone else.

So my work had one person in the company in the head office refused the vax. Stood down until further notice. As we work in high risk we can't take risks

33 000 infections a day in Russia, ICU's swamped. Only 32% vaccinated. Maybe the Sputnik vaccine is safe to take. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/russia-astrazeneca-vaccine-blueprint-sputnik-b1935992.htmlRussian spies stole the blueprint for the Oxford/AstraZenecacoronavirus vaccine and used it to create their own Sputnik V jab, according to reports.

I can imagine a lot of companies taking the low risk option. Not sure I understand your point Every agency offers staff 2 weeks of sick leave. If somebody caught the virus, why wouldnt they just use that time to recover? No loss to the agency In terms of risk of transmission, its equal risk. The probability that the 90% vaccinated will catch and spread the virus is greater than the probability the 10% unvaccinated will catch and spread the virus In terms of risk to clients, if the client is vaccinated then what's the problem? If the client is unvaccinated then they made that choice This is just stupid. The biggest risk is forcing out long term staff that the company has invested tens of thousands into in training and company knowledge, and then throwing them away based on a sensationlised private political view point Should people get vaccinated? Yes, absolutely. Are unvaccinated people a risk to a business? No. thats just dumb
