+x+xYou guys are funny. This is China we are playing, should be easy win not a 3-0 struggle. And that defense will get shredded by any half decent team in Europe. Tactics make us vulnerable. All this passing will get eaten up and we'll get flogged. GA will have us ball watching in the big games. Nuthing happening up front even with these pathetic teams. Define how that was a "3-0 struggle"? Did they even have a shot on target?

+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+xFirst 30 minutes was terrible. GA is stupid. Trent Sainsbury is GAs son-in-law. Thank god he doesn't care and can put a ball over the top. GA not as stupid as your comment. was it also stupid of GA to cap Mabil, Souttar and Boyle? 3 goals from open play and you’re complaining about the coach 😂 That coaching is imbecilic , such a boring way to play and so easy to read. Any decent team would kick 7 goals against that shit house team. Won't matter what player you stick up front. Sainsbury is garbage and Souttar will be pulling the ball out of the net every 5 minutes Know when to pick you're battles dude. If Arnie is as bad as you think he is you'll get you chance to have a whinge. You just sound silly right now. I don't remember the thread title saying post your snippet of how we performed compared to last game. If China was so shit, why was it so evidently hard to break them down. None of those shots were well worked passing buildups. Sains had to chip the defense to Mabil right on the box line. It's like watching one of those slushy machines swish the ice around, thats our CBs/midfield all game Mate we must have watched a different game .... As for how poor Arnold is... 10 straight wins best in years and second longest wins ever ..... 9 wins overseas .... Fractured team with getting players.... No doubt there are better coaches ... but to say he is hopeless .... mate simply wrong... not the worlds best agree ... but no where as bad as you make out... You're probably right mate. Still.. I'm probably right also. We have different perspectives for sure. I'm not that interested in the Socceroos of late because the hype of football here in OZ has well and truly died out. Out of interest what would get you interested gain Not many reasons to be interested. If Arzani never got injured. If Rogic actually played full games. Too many unknowns, and I cant keep track of where they all play anymore So basically you know nothing about the current Socceroo's squad. Plastic fan by the sound of it. Unknowns? As for the crap you're talking about our passing game, we've got the players now in the midfield to control the tempo of games. What game plan would you introduce Supercoach?

I think we are on to something here. We need to cut out the passing and just get the ball into the net from kick off.

So, China hey. World's most populous nation, ridiculously large amount of investment in football over the recent years. And look where they are at currently.
Things could be much worse for us. I thought we played quite well once we settled. Love that we weren't afraid to go direct on occasion (it's only a problem when it's mindless!), which also allowed Sainsbury's range of passing to shine. All positives for me, but we simply have to beat Vietnam next match.

+x+xso real talk....how were china so bad given what they have on paper I mean, they weren't much better than taiwan Because they’re one of the worst footballing nations on earth and don’t deserve to be anywhere near a World Cup.
Have they even produced one half decent professional player in the history? Genuine question. They had decent side in the early 2000's that qualified for 2002 world cup which included.. Sun Jihai.. starter for man city for 2 or so seasons. Fan Zhiyi captained crystal palace and Dundee. Li Tie for Everton - was a starter for 1 season Currently.. Wu Lei starter for Espanyol past couple of seasons.

Wu Lei played 31 times for Espanyol last season and only started 8 times and Espanyol was in the second division. He’s 29 so I reckon he’ll be back to CSL only a matter of time.

I'm just commenting on how predictable our tactics are. Why would we play that way with limited talent up front. Makes no sense

+x+x+xI'm expecting a goat track next week More like a rice field trampled by water buffalo. I'm not expecting a classic that's for certain. Why would Vietnam serve you a pitch like that? They depend on technique players more than is. This is post is actually quite offensive. Have you ever been to a Vietnam? https://www.smh.com.au/sport/soccer/croak-park-socceroos-train-on-toad-infested-pitch-before-vietnam-clash-20210906-p58pa6.html

If mods can rename the thread to WCQ Aus vs China 2021 we won't need a new thread for the next game. This will be played at the smaller stadium where we faced Palestine at the Asian Cup. Kick off is 16:00 CET so 2am Sydney time.

Bloody hope 10 play can have a full replay up by 6am so I can watch it before work. Last time they only had highlights package till about 12 hours after the game finished

Well this will be massive
Ryan Karacic Sainsbury Degenek Elder Jeggo Irvine Hrustic Boyle Ruka McGree
Unfortunately I don't think Elder will start. Irvine can function if he plays in the same position as at his club. McGree should start. I reckon Maclaren will get the start and will leave us bitterly frustrated yet again.

Oman trailing 1-0 to China, good-ish news if it stays that way I suppose. They'll be at home and playing out of their skin against Japan. Not getting my hopes up.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

The thing we should be hoping for is draws. Everyone dropping a point is like quicksand. That said, I'd prefer China to be doing the losing if it comes down to that. Fuck that country.

China Oman ends 1:1. Next game day is a big one with Japan in Oman and Saudi in Vietnam. Oman within touching distance so they'll go all out. Vietnam will be desperate to finally get something. Socceroos to be complacent and get bitten no doubt.

Arnie needs to take into account last performances and drop behich and Irvine. I’ve been one of Irvine’s biggest advocates for a while but these last two games he has been so ineffective. The game seems to pass him by at the moment and he can’t do anything about it. As for behich, I feel for him too because he’s been so good for so long but he’s on the decline.
Unfortunately we just don’t have the cattle. Here’s hoping kuol or juric are in some form before the next window and we pick them to play striker because our options are so thin.
I don’t think nabbout is the answer either. We lack wingers as well

None of our players could have done what that striker did to finish it though
