Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere, but I just saw this article from the 18th October. Once again, Tony Sage being an absolute muppet. I don't see the WA government changing their mind on borders this year, so the only fair solution would be for the game to be played in a neutral state (Adelaide being the logical option). Source: https://thewest.com.au/sport/soccer/calls-grow-for-perth-glory-to-be-handed-ffa-cup-clash-against-melbourne-victory-on-a-forfeit-c-4268100Calls grow for Perth Glory to be handed FFA Cup clash against Melbourne Victory on a forfeitCalls are growing for Perth Glory to be handed a forfeit-win in their long-delayed FFA Cup qualifying clash with Melbourne Victory. And Glory owner Tony Sage says the club will not be forced to move their home game to Victoria. The match was due to have been played in Perth three months ago but the competition was thrown into chaos because of COVID-19 border closures. FA are trying to make Glory play the match in Victoria in the middle of a tough five-game November road-trip that starts with three games in Melbourne against Western United, Victory and Melbourne City. The winner would then play Adelaide City, but that club’s chairman Greg Griffin said Glory should be handed the forfeit win. In a letter to Football Australia Griffin said the situation had become “farcical”. “How does FA propose to compensate ACFC whilst it has to keep players training and pay them whilst the FA remains unwilling to call a forfeit on Victory because it cannot play Perth,” he said. “The FA has completely compromised our position whilst pandering to a Club that should have been required to forfeit weeks ago. “Victory either plays in Perth or it forfeits. How hard can this be? “I trust this matter can be resolved without further delay. “If it is the intention to completely deny Adelaide City a fair chance of proceeding to the next stage then that aim seems to have been achieved. “I am very aware of the rationale for this competition so the apparent disinterest in an NPL Club progressing concerns me greatly.” Glory finished ninth on last season’s A-League ladder to secure the home game against bottom-placed Victory but Griffin said that should not be used to decide who goes through to the next round. City play their NPLSA grand final on Friday night and Griffin said it was unfair to keep semi-professional players in limbo and for the club to pay extra wages. The Glory pose with the Premiers plate in 2019. No “Are the FA going to pay our wages bill for the next two months?” he said. “It’s unfair to everyone except Victory. “The army does not march at the pace of the slowest soldier and if Victory cannot go to Perth or will not go to Perth, then they should be forced to forfeit. “The entire competition is being compromised because the FA are pandering to clubs in Victoria. “If you can’t get to the US Open golf because you live in Victoria then you don’t play.” Glory owner Tony Sage said the club would not agree to a rescheduling. “It is unworkable and unrealistic to expect us to play another game in Melbourne,” Sage said. “We have to take player safety and welfare into account and we will not play the game away from home. “I would prefer another solution than a forfeit but a resolution has to be made and made quickly. “If it is decided on ladder positions that obviously suits us. “If a team has to forfeit it should not be us.” FA spokesman Peter Filopoulos said they expected the game to be scheduled for the end of November.

This isn't Melbourne, Sydney people hate attending sporting fixtures in the rain whether it's undercover or not.

Round of 32 concludes with Tigers vs Apia (2 Dec) and Western United vs Wellington (7 Dec)
Round of 16 concludes with matches on the 7th, 8th, 14th and 22nd of December to see who joins the Mariners, Roar, Adelaide and Melbourne City in the quarters.
As such the QF draw can probably be conducted either on December 3, 9 or 15 and could easily include the SF draw as well.
Even assuming n NPL side (GK Knights, Avondale, Tigers/Apia springs a Round of 16 cupset then it looks like the cup will most likely be continuing into late January or February and possibly lead to an overlap with the early rounds of the 2022 cup.

Massive result. I don't know if anyone fully understands what NPL clubs are going through this season. The NPL clubs in NSW haven't had a competitive game since JUNE! They are basically playing during their offseason whilst the WSW are just starting their season. Conditioning is a major factor in modern football.

Hopefully another upset and no text message saying I'm a casual contact. I've gotten that twice at Kogarah recently. I think CCM might be a bridge too far for APIA after watching them dismantle Sydney FC on the weekend, again though depends on the squad but at this point in the competition you'd be taking it seriously.
