Speaking of that last match against Japan it showed us that we need to lift the skill level of the side in terms if our ball retention ability, as well as the speed and agility of the team.
Like Gus did when he came in in 2005 some players need to be shifted to facilitate this like he did with Chippers (LW to LB), Neill RB to CB, Culina AM to DM.
I genuinely think a team of the below could trouble Japan.. Ryan Leckie, Souttar, Sains, Smith Mooy Rogic McGree Hrustic Taggart Boyle

+x+xArzani's contract with CFG ends in June. Even if he plays every game for Lommel up till then I can't see it being enough to attract decent Euro clubs due to his stop start few years. Wouldn't mind Hearts taking a chance with him. Current international WorldCup experience Young Free agent after June and ready for pre-season Has work permit already Experience in Scotland with Celtic so no adjusting Appears to be past his injury issues Knows Cammy and Nat A performance based contract with the option to be loaned to A-League club if struggling for minutes could be good for both parties and I'd think pretty low risk for Hearts. Hearts attackers are ok without being great and I'm pretty sure a fit Arzani would would find some success there. Just a thought Suicide reported in Melbourne, Balin Trev has just jumped off the Westgate bridge upon hearing his boyfriend may play in Scotland. Total dickhead reported in NSW. You think it’s funny to joke about somebody committing suicide? You’re a pathetic low life

He's way too much slow now for this level.

Mooy won't play DM and cannot be on the pitch at the same time as Rogic.

Mooy started on the bench & came on and scored another goal. Great signs for the Socceroos

Both pens should have been given. That fucking prick has screwed arsenal more times then I can count this season. It bemuses me that's he's made it to premier league

Not too sure about timing for McGree. He should now be on pre season and they'll start playing at the end of Feb. In the one hand there's now a bit of a break leading into qualifiers which will prevent any kind of burn out but I wonder how much sharpness could regress. He's been on great form and the iron is hot to try and use it for the national team.

Two for Ruka
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

This bloke needs to be given a chance in the Socceroos. I actually like Duke & he's scored quite a few goals for us recently, but Ruka needs a chance

Been following him closely this season, the fans over there absolutely love him wherever he goes. Such a shame he doesn't get the recognition he deserves for socceroos. He's been in Israel's top scorers 3 seasons now? Yet we keep trying maclaren and taggart who are both useless at international level

It looks like Ryan Strain had a good game, judging by the comments on Instagram. Anyone know how to get the stats etc for the Israeli league (FotMob doesn't list them) - keen to keep a closer eye on Strain & Ruka

It's amazing what we'll gloss over when it suits our own opinion. Mighty Israel. If we send all our squad to play there it might be the secret for future success. At the very least they'll learn the secret to beating smaller nations. Palestine comes to mind.

Full game for Ryan in 3:2 Cup win. Conceded goals pretty well taken ans out of reach for him. Frustrating first one with the perfect cross and Ryan perhaps a bit out of position. https://youtu.be/mVtsmkvizDg

So since his 3 minute cameo around a month ago volpato hasn’t even made the bench for the first team. I understand he’s still very young but how does a bloke go from coming off the bench to not even making it. Something seems fishy about all this.
