More hopeful more after that first half. Peru don't look dangerous.

Good half. Very happy with that. Final third needs better execution. Winning a lot of 50/50 balls.

So far the best I’ve seen is play against half decent opposition in a very long time.

God half overall. Just wondering if Mabil should come in for Leckie now. Doubt there will be half time changes. Duke looked like a wrong choice, started well but has got off the game a bit.

Peru being smart like a snake. Just waiting. We'll tire as will they but this is bloody tense. Annoying is we've probably used up our good fortune of receiving possession down there so I think Peru's coach will be livid and have them control the game.

Tense stuff, very happy with 0-0 all considered. Hope we can create something early in the second half. Hrustic not able to get on the ball that much. Boyle is looking dangerous though

+xSo far the best I’ve seen is play against half decent opposition in a very long time. Part of that might be underestimating asian teams even china has a striker with 100 games in la liga

I get that Arnold wanted a more direct approach and therefore he picked Duke over Maclaren, however I can't personally see Duke scoring and Maclaren played well last game imo

Regardless of jinxes Peru will come. It's going to be a crazy second half. I want to see Tilio on sooner rather than later.

Those highlights being replayed. All in the stars but the balls has thankfully landed kindly after blocks and we've had someone standing there.

Just concerns me Arnie will be popping champagne bottles at half time whilst the Peru boss will be giving them a right rocket

This Peru team isn't anywhere near as good as they were reputed to be prior to the game.
* They are weaker than most Asian teams we play at defending set pieces.
* They struggle to defend crosses as well as most of our recent Asian adversaries.
* In the attacking third they create few chances when they've had sustained periods of possession - we've had more chances on their goal. We've had 5 shots to their 2.
* They aren't getting enough players into our box in their offence.
Their positives.
* They are slick in possession at times, working well in tight spaces. They were impressive in maintaining possession for a sustained period in the middle of the pitch in about 28 - 34 min mark.
* Their right winger is danger with his searing pace, burning off Leckie.
Our positives.
* We've maintained defensive shape in BPO when they've had sustained possession.

Those moments in attack makes me wonder how we'd be with the sharpness of McGree, Mabil and Tilio. McGree basically ignored this window so far.
