+xGerbach , Davidson, Elder were left out in our weakest position. We got Joel King and Behich both playing for the bottom team. King is a bench warmer. He wasn't even good enough to play in Denmark. Agree. Jack Iredale another worthy one in contention for LB.

I think King will be a good player but he isn't there yet and not playing at his age really affects development.

Totally forgot Gersbach too. Could imagine a foreign coach picking Elder and Gersbach quite quickly.

King and Behich both were outplayed by the Japanese RW. That Jap player even gave his interview that the weakest spot of this Australian team is LB. If Arnie insists with these players against France ..they could be murdered. France RW is on another level, the best in the world.

Can't defend, cross and no ability to beat anyone 1 on 1 forcing him to pass backwards. I'd rather have McGowan there at least he is solid and can defend well.

No Taggart today. So confusing. One week in and scoring then completely out. Probably pulling up a little sore with a big squad.

Teague starting for Famalicao U23. Probably couldn't get a loan... not good.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Marea can’t hit a barn door. Celtic with two huge chances to win it at the end.

Suddenly we have several options at LB. With all respect to Behich, we have to be looking towards the next Asian Cup/WC cycle. Amazed Elder wasn't named. Gersbach has had a great run of matches so hopefully that means he is settled after a few seasons floating around. Jack Iredale and Joel King are both interesting options but need to have solid seasons. I am still a Brad Smith fan, although he is still covering from an ACL.

@john I saw alou kuol wasn’t in the reserves team yesterday for their game. Does this mean he’s in the first team for the weekend? I tried finding some info on it but couldn’t find anything. Cheers

+xHolland, Devlin starting Atkinson, Volpato bench Hearts won 2-0 away with Devlin getting the whole match and Atkinson on the bench. Devlin getting good ratings again. He's having a very good season, and I would love to see him pull on the Socceroos shirt. I think he's got a bit of that Kante style grit and tenacity about him.
