On the Rugby, I rarely watch it, but I watched the last 20 mins.

The NRL show pony refs need to lift their game, the refs performance was a master class in attention seeking ridiculous decisions, all he needed was a bunker that took 10 minutes to review every decision and the game would have been a perfect advertisement for seagulls fighting over a chip.

One thing Rubgy has always done exceptionally well is confuse spectators with a myrid of obscure rules. Just equip the ref with a coin to toss and the game will flow.

Lol. My thoughts exactly....

To be honest.... i can't understand how they have survived this long with only 1 ref on the field?

If you were to say one of League or Union needed 2 refs, it would be Union hands down.

How the hell is that 1 ref suppose to make the right call in a maul when there's bodies all over the place? The was a try by NZ from a push near the touchline corner, it collapsed over the line and somehow in amongst all the bodies, the ref immediately called try.

Dud he even sight the ball? I reckon he guessed they scored. Replays didn't even show the ball grounded so how did he know? Probably player reaction.

Or maybe as you said HD, he flipped a coin.

Twice as many penalties for reasons unknown would be great!!!

Hopeful of a good game tonight. Please no typical over reaction by the NRL to last week's sin bins. Firm early action by the officials but no knee jerk send offs

Bringing back the shoulder charge is just about a must now.

The amount of HIAs from kick off returns is incredibly high.

Need to give the defence the chance to use their shoulder to cushion the impact of a hit up.

Yep, the Canberra kicking game was ordinary all night.

Canberra not really playing to their potential in attack and defence, disappointing,  but worse for fans of Canberra.

Davey runs great lines, hopefully can stay fit… Sutton has made no lasting impression in me… both signings good fur depth and competition for spots…

We need better options at prop.

I wonder if the plan is to promote some young reserve grade lads.

Sutton was fairly ordinary for Canberra but coming  on  when his team was losing the battle after a long injury layoff  isn't ideal.

That is one problem with Sutton and Davey both seem to have had a few injuries in recent seasons.

Funnily enough Stimson seemed to be improving after a very ordinary patch, perhaps like for like.

Reserve grade won and made the GF.

Sounded like Wakeham had a good game and steered the side to victory.

I have had a great week.

Icing on the cake is a reserve grade win, but even more important Canberra dispatching Parra in style.

Something special about the Canberra side 2 props with styled long hair and a redhead on the bench.

Battle of the big boys might settle it, rip in boys.

Well Sticky, a simple 100K donation to the HD lifestyle fund could have avoided this post, and I'm only the appentice Mock. Whatever Marki is charging is well worth paying.

My first choice halfback. He would look great in blue and white.

He has improved a lot in the last couple of years.

He was a turnstyle in defence, erratic and prone to choking in attack most of his career.

The service from dummy-half, the platform laid by the forwards, the fullback and 5/8  are up to the task.
But also it takes a few season of NRL for a half to nail the role.

The Parra starting props and 2nd rowers had their fingerprints all over this game. The Penrith / Parra forwards battle the week before was intense. But the Parra forwards showed no ill effects and if anything Tapine seemed to be carrying an injury. IMO that is where the game was won and lost.

As for Moses coming to the Dogs, we stand a better chance of getting Latrell, it will not happen.

My impression is a player at the backend of their career often reverts to the weaknesses they had early in their career, the turnstile defence isn't far away, it may resurface.

His defence was why Des wouldn't sign him, for the record Des was wrong, as he typically is on recruitment and retention. I would have signed Moses at that time and the last 5 seasons might have been better. In fact reverse all of the recruitment and retention cockups Des made the last 5 seasons might have been better.

Hopefully the Cows can do the job, this season is the Eels best chance.

I’d maybe like him in blue and white.. until then I’d love to see the punching rule reversed for him alone…
