+xBest 23?
Hall Rawlins - Circati - Triantis - Forde Yull - Volpato Kuol - Segecic - Irankunda Toure Warhawsky Dench - Vidmar - Majekodunmi - Perez Bozinovski - Robertson Dukuly - Goodwin - Hammond Popovic Nieuwenhuizen Warshawsky is a better keeper than Hall, despite not having first team experience. Hall was 4th choice and Adelaide and got first team football because all in front of him were injured/ill.

Kuwait 1 Australia 4 when the coverage on YouTube presumably Kuwaiti abruptly cut to a cooking demonstration. Only watched most of the second half up to the abrupt cut.
The Kuwaiti goal came from a dubious decision against our goalkeeper who appeared to beat the incoming Kuwaiti to the ball. No VAR, in evidence.
The Australian 4th goal was well set up and dispatched.
Garang Kuol played presumably from the start, and somehow his shot just missed a goal after beating a number of defenders, while I was watching. Do not know who scored our goals.

Just went back to the YouTube channel and a Kuwaiti pundir was commenting on aftermath coverage and a scoreline flashed up. Australia must have got another goal after the coverage cut to a cooking show, because the final score was Kuwait 1 Australia 5.
Got to love following Australian teams trying to qualify through Asia.

Watched the whole game, good result but pretty lackluster. We could do a lot better.

4th goal was well worked from corner. Kuol could have had 2 goals as well

Only saw 4 goals scored for Aus. I thought Aus won 5-1?
Shame only 1 came from open play.
I coached football at a school where I was a classroom teacher in Kuwait. They produce the odd fantastic ball player. There was one consummate Kuwaiti consummate ball player in this game playing as a left sided forward.
October is still a very hot month weatherwise in Kuwait. Conditions would have been tough for the Aussies, even with low humidity.

Oh that was painful to watch U19 Australia in the 1st half. Leading at half time but we playing terrible football. Couldn't put 3-4 pass to one another against India. Even Kuol has been quiet and done nothing.

We made hard work of that. 4-1 doesn't really reflect the way we played especially in the 2nd half. We took our goals well but for most of the time in the 2nd half we couldn't connect with our passes out of our own half.

A good result even though as some suggested we might not play well as an team we have the individual quality to hurt teams which is encouraging.

Some good young talent I agree but how many are regular players at senior level? I looked at the lineup for the Young Socceroos last night and there is only 1 that's a regular, the rest are either fringe players or on scholarship contracts.
We need more professional opportunities in Australia.

im sorry but if Kuol doesn't go to Qatar it will be biggest fuck up in Australian football history. With better quality around him he will look very good.

Arnie is always talking about how much he wants to curate the Olyroos into a fearsome new senior team.
That will be just so much bollocks if he doesn't take Kuol. Of course, GK will have to deserve it, which makes his current U20 selection mystifying as surely his ability against senior pros is more of an indicator - meaning he's being given less opportunity to deserve selection.
That's why I suspect Arnie has already picked him for Qatar.

Australia v Iraq kicks off in '23 hours' - it looks like kickoff at 12:30am AEDT (11:30pm Qld time) on 18 October.
When I wear their colours, I am the club.
