Koul was class above everyone else. One on One against Iraq you know he gonna win the ball. Unfortunately for others are so poor. Some of the player basic one touch football are awful. They couldn't pass to one another and no movement at all between the players. So unbalance in the team.

No stream that I can find - saw that we missed a penalty at 31' though :(
When I wear their colours, I am the club.

Awesome result. 3 wins from 3 in one of the toughest groups.

Highlights https://youtu.be/pqfUCNKQDi0 I think we were very lucky not to concede. Iraq had some very good chances.

Our keeper was just about our MOTM from what I saw. Could easily have conceded a penalty just before we scored also. Unconvincing performance with a lot of ball watching at the back.

Yep. Also Bit of a hand ball by Aussies- looked accidental but could have easily been awarded penalty. Kuol close to scoring again - got to go to qatar

Stuttered run up, saved pen. Good. Cheer every time that happens. Hate that rubbish.

Good to get 3 wins from all 3 matches, it's true Iraq had chances but Australia also had chances to score as well and even had a missed penalty or saved in this case.
Quite an open game, but overall a good campaign for the lads.

+xStuttered run up, saved pen. Good. Cheer every time that happens. Hate that rubbish. As I see it the keeper chose the right way and was already moving that way when he did the stutter step. Some use the stutter step to see where the keeper is going then go the other way - if that was his intention he was very bad at it. Poorly struck anyway and, from the camera angles I saw, his body position suggested he could only go that way - would have needed a big hook on his foot to bring it back across his body. I would outlaw stutter steps for penalties - it is so obviously against the intention of the penalty shot.
When I wear their colours, I am the club.

Thailand needs Aussies to win by 2 goals.

front 3 looks good but midfield and defense is shocking, defense more so... just look so scared and barely any chemistry.

We got statistically the hardest group possible from the pot we were in. Standard.

It's not an easy group at all I agree, where is the cross over from the other group if they go through to the quarter final?

A vs B, C vs D If we get through this pool we should walk it in to the semi's or we don't deserve to be there. Group a has Indonesia and Uzbekistan as there top 2 ranked teams

+xBest 23?
Hall Rawlins - Circati - Triantis - Forde Yull - Volpato Kuol - Segecic - Irankunda Toure Warhawsky Dench - Vidmar - Majekodunmi - Perez Bozinovski - Robertson Dukuly - Goodwin - Hammond Popovic Nieuwenhuizen The best lineup we can hope for Irankunda Toure Kuol Volpato Robertson - Yull Dench - Triantis - Circati - Rawlins Warshawsky Obviously, formations, play styles and match-ups can be tweaked but this is probably our best 11 (talent wise). Sadly, the tournament isn't in the international FIFA window so getting players like Circati and Volpato almost seem impossible for an U20 Asian or U20 World Cup run. World Cup would be slightly more enticing. Would be nice to get 75% of the squad. We have pretty good depth too.

Great article on Sydney Morning Herald FB page, 3 days ago. They interviewed Alex Robertson & he's basically said he wants to play for the Socceroos, like his Dad & Grand Dad. Sounds like he would choose u20 Australian team over England if we make the WC as well. He's only 19 & training full time with the Man City top team. Fingers crossed we have Robertson, Volpato, Circati & Kuol playing together in a Socceroos jersey within 2/ 3years.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2023_AFC_U-17_Asian_CupU17 Asian Cup to be held in Thailand but yet to be ratified this May. Top 4 go to U17 WC this year in Peru at the end of the year. Our U20 have the Asian Cup coming up in March in the group with Qatar, Iran and Vietnam. I'm sure there are plenty eligible who weren't in the qualification process. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2023_AFC_U-20_Asian_Cup#Group_BU23 Asian Cup 2024 is in Qatar. The qualification draw hasn't been made yet but Australia are ranked 4th https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2024_AFC_U-23_Asian_Cup_qualificationLast time was the silly farce where we played Indonesia twice in Tajikistan after the withdrawal of China and Brunei. I hope we draw India, Singapore and Hong Kong and host the group.

Lecce striker Jason Vescan-Kodor (2006 - 🇦🇺🇷🇴) has been called up to their Primavera (U19) side. He has also reportedly been called up to the Joeys for the Asian U17 Cup, per reports in Romania.
