+xCan we stop the if Moses comes to Belmore talk… its gross… it’s highly unlikely Gus is entertaining the idea… and it gross… Burton has had 1 year at 5:8 in first grade… after playing it t of position… at a new club, with many new faces… Gross…
#fekkinggross #inguswetrus… Ingus Wetrus could be a Finnish speed metal band…

#fekkinggross #inguswetrus… I agree. Moses has been good lately but failed the majority of his career.

#fekkinggross #inguswetrus… Ingus Wetrus could be a Finnish speed metal band… They are, great band and they all hate Mitch Moses. Look out for their new album - Parra Suck

We could limit the off-season speculation to things that will definately happen in 2023 like a Martian Invasion.
The Martians are only coming to kidnap Mitch Moses.
Looking for signs of intelligent life, the Martians have unfortunately started at the wrong footy club.

Sadly the invisible aliens won’t be able to find him or anyone cos they’ll be locked in their homes due to climate lockdowns…

+x+x+x+x+xMoses looks great on a flat track… and goes well in maybe two tough games a year… he has done nothing to show me he can turn a result around… or lead a team to a comp… plus that whiny face… oh so punchable… Yes. Punchable face. But also very passionate at what he does. Instead of the "sstacks-on"like the Panthers and Burton tend to do after a try, Moses does the incredible haulk pose with neck veins pumping and a roar. I prefer it TBH. I agree he is yet to lead a team in a big game, but he is very close. Very close. There a there are people in league circles (including many league fans) that simply WANT Moses to fail in big games, just to continue their opinion of him. But he isn't far from taking that next step and I would rather he did it in our colours rather than Parra's. I think that he has improved in the last few seasons. Next season may settle the issue either way. I want him to fail because he is in Parra colours, as I always do for all Parra players. I actually think he has regressed. His running game is mostly none existent. I think part of that is a belief that to become a more mature, match winning half he needed to become more composed but I don't think its working correctly for him at the moment. I think Brown was their main focal point in attack and had a great season. Moses focused more on his kicking game. His kicking, passing and support play is extremely good. He has had some run-ins with Mahoney. The 2021 semi is a prime example where game was on the line and Mahoney went the wrong way. Cost parra a prelim. Brown offers him a good running foil and that is what makes them dangerous. If Moses was to come, you would hope Burton can play like Brown and leave the organising to Moses. Yep that's all great if he was coming for $500k but if it's $1m he can get fu#ked because he won't be winning us anything outside of a 9's tournament.

Is that because Moses can't single handedly take us to a premiership or because we don't have the team to take us to a premiership? I think he is hard done by. He was part of a Parra team which let's face it, is inferior in roster personnel to Panthers, Storm and Roosters and probably even Souths. Yet they have made a GF and last year just missed out on a preliminary final. I think Parra did well given their roster and so did Moses. No one was beating Penrith in the decider this year, so it's harsh to point at that and think he's not good enough or worth decent coin. Compared to other halves earning 1M, I think he is worth it

Counts a few out and some in. I’d guess it’s between Fox, Mahoney and Burton. and even though I dont count out wingers as Captains, I dont reckon it’ll be Fox because I’d reckon Mahoney or Burton would’ve been who we were looking at for’24 ir maybe even later after Jacko. So I dont think they’d appoint Fox as ‘interim’ given the reason I stated above even though he’s probably the best immediate candidate. So I think they’ll think about who’s gonna Captain The Dogs for the next decade out of Mahoney or Burton and let him grow into it.

Won't keep a good repoire with the refs.

Hanse Cronje Story on Netfilx is not too bad. For starters the cricket sequences are excellent. Very realistic. Anyone who watched the World Series Cricket thingo about Packer would recall the cricket sequences were beyond shithouse...not so on this. The bloke who plays Allan Donald knocks out middle stump. Warnie looks like Warnie and McGrath like McGrath though Damian Fleming looks like one of the Beach Boys

I never got around to watching the T20 cricket but I see that the Aussies are out.
This brings me to a deeper problem, I don't remember too many exciting young Aussie players who have burst scene in the last few years, especially top order batsmen, great fielders, good all-rounders.
Green is the only name that springs to mind.
A lot of the media debate is whether a 37 year old Warner should be given a shot at captaincy.
The Poms have picked older captains in the past because those guys were excellent tactical cricketers.
We are lucky to have Cummo and the quality of our bowling might keep us more than competitive at test level.
But I sense that the batting will once again be dependent on Smithy and Labs. When one of them is injured or out of form our batting looks skinny.
Who are the exciting young batsmen in contention that will entertain the crowds?
We need to careful not to get stuck in a "Dad's Army" rut.

I think that Jacko might have walked after being told that he wouldn't be captain.
My money is on Foxy with Burton as VC, we are slowly transitioning Burto towards the captiancy.
Doorey has apparently gone to Parra, RFM and Kicks are the likely starting second rowers, with Wardell, Topine and others as backup.
Wakeham was also listed as off contract, I think I saw an excellent try saving tackle from Wakes playing for Fiji. But I am wondering if Wakes will be at the club in 2023.
I will be very interested to see our top 30. Gus ruled Hayward out, but Hayward might be a development player. If Wakes is going and we are not signing a half, I expect Rajab to be in the top 30.

I don’t agree with the first sentence… it’s a dangerous conspiracy… Jacko’s captaincy was both safe and effective…

+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+xSo who’s captain and vice next year?
Thompson captain Burton vice
I def don’t want Burto burdened with the C…though it could ‘make him’… Just not sure how long Thommo will be around… Foxx is our best talker to both Team and Ref… Pog ma thoin a smokey???… Whoever it is will be Captain long term because we’ve never sone it any other way and wont start now. If it is Fox he’ll be Captain till he retires and that’d be ok too, but I just think Mahoney or Burton was who they had pencilled in post Jacko and post Jacko arrived early There will be the assigned captain...and the actual captain. I think they'll have to go with 2 captains to be honest. Fox and Burton or Fox and Thommo. Not sure about Mahoney, he looks like he gets upset and loses his temper. Won't keep a good repoire with the refs. I lose my temper every time you post… I still have a great rapport with the mods… Marki posts like an Audi driver...Marki do you drive an Audi? Don't be silly... I leave Audi's back at the traffic lights.. Storming out of the car at the lights is a bad look. I will tell your wife to tone down the driving instruction. It's only a bad look if it's your car..... If you don't know the owner, it's not unusual to leave it behind and.....run!

+x+xI think that Jacko might have walked after being told that he wouldn't be captain. I don’t agree with the first sentence… it’s a dangerous conspiracy… Jacko’s captaincy was both safe and effective… Yeah I can't imagine we stripped the captaincy off Jacko only to not have a stand-out or clear next captain....doesnt make sense.

+xI never got around to watching the T20 cricket but I see that the Aussies are out. I don’t think it’s that grim. We failed at the T20 due to one match and bad selections really. NZ pumped us by too much, a rain washout and picking whatsisname whoever the fuck he is who got nothing all series above Green and leaving Starc out of the last match, wtf were they thinking. But in the big boys game remember we beat Pakistan in Pakistan where every test went down to the last session. Long game I think we’re behind India in India, maybe SA in SA and England in England, but it’s been like that for decades. Short form (both), it’s a yearly or less thing.
