+xI see the ban hammer has come down. Shame that. Didn't agree with a lot of what he said but we need dissenting voices here. Wouldn't a couple of days off sufficed? agreed, didn't deserve banning. If what occurred at the derby in a NPL game here or Melb it would be attacked far worse by those here, the media and FTA.

+x+x+x+xI thought the atmosphere looked really good on tv, a bit try-hard but actually pretty loud.....Great crowd too from all reports.... I wouldn't have thought that there was that much violence, the MSM tends to treat the new dawn fans like they treat they used to treat old soccer fans, just minus the racial slurs. Also, I read that Sydney City fans actually burnt one of their own team jerseys, is that true? Fark me, that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard.... It happens a lot more than you think around the world, especialyy to the Judas types. I have never, in all honesty, EVER seen a a clubs fans burn their own jersey.... EVER. Burn pictures of Judas players sure, even an old t-shirt with the number/name on the back OK, but NEVER an actual club emblem and jersey.... thats too much.... You dont even do that to your bitterest rivals overseas (sure burn their flags and banners and scarves) but NOT a jersey with the club badge..... thats like the worse thing I can think of. Seriously? Just type in "(insert club name) burns shirt" and you get dozens of examples for every club I have searched. I stand 100% corrected...... very surprised, but indeed corrected... Holy shit, just went down a rabbit hole of reading about so called "fans" burning former player's jerseys.... Ive never come across it as a fan.. Still stand behind the fact that I think this is the most deplorable behaviour I can think of......

I repeat, he knew what he was doing. PS you really do make up 99.8% of the use of the words effniks and wogs on here

Look I'm all for banter and passionate chanting support but even for me burning shirts, over drinking and end up being a cockhead around others at games gets OTT for me....... Its always the the few minority, like 4 charged over the weekend no matter it was 35k it was also the behaviour out on the streets by heaps of them either side of the Club. No diff the Australia Cup sub 20k, similar low offending numbers the weekends probs are not less excused being 35k. Trouble is how do you get through these young dickheads and I still wonder are they real football supporters or out for casing amuck. Once again we have NRL's Goiuld weigh his pov in https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-11423759/Soccer-supporters-slam-NRLs-Phil-Gould-fans-bridge-shake-wild-League-Sydney-derby.html

Love it.
This stuff only happens when people care. Seems to be some passion back in the league. Seeing Victory supporters being escorted out to sarcastic cheers around the stadium felt like the good old days. The best thing for our crowd numbers is for these NRL/AFL boofheads to be writing hit pieces. It sure as shit wasn't better for the league when we were ignored for the last 5 years.
Hate isn't the opposite of love, apathy is.

+x+xVery poor to have this as the main article on a classic Sydney Derby with the passions of both sets of fans lighting up the game before the match and the first half. The back and forth chanting creating a spectacle. And from what i understand, Sydney FC funded the trade-in of Ninkovic jerseys for lollies as well as the TIFO. Then on the pitch, Sydney FC much vaunted attack unable to get through on goal through Cleur, Mrcela, Marcelo, Traore and Thomas. Marcelo also owned Wood who showed his frustration. How many shots on goal did Sydney FC have all game from the front 4 of Mak, Lolley, Caceres and Wood. Then there was Nieuwenhof and Amalfitano controlling the midfield and Nieuwenhof did it with an early yellow card. Then there was Yengi who put in his best shift this season and showing why Grant is not in the World Cup squad. Plus Ninkovic was double or triple teamed all game yet was able to get through on goal, which brought the Cove back to life in the second half with the pass by Krpic to put him through. And the goal and reaction were absolutely classic. After rhe game, the press conference by Rudan was absolutely inflammatory. I watched a few of YouTube clips by Sydney FC supporters and to those from other cities might explain the rivalry. One of the chants goes "F**k off Western Sydney Scum..." The Channel 9 media group has a vested interest in killing football. They have not said this publicly like the AFL but after multi-million dollar TV deal for the NRL, they see the numbers of kids playing football (soccer to thugby league and AFL) across the country so are trying desperately to disparage our sport. What is you problem with the chant ? I love when they call themselves the club for all of Sydney and then start talking about 'western sydney scum' as if it doesn't apply to their supporters who don't live in the east.

Pointing the finger is no diff either ither. The ones who do cause the issues from both sides for no matter who leads the few sheep follow should be in the same padded cell and go for your lives, hopefully put each others lights out so we don't see them again.

Also, add counts of wilful vandalism and destruction of both private and council property. The unlawful lighting of a garment on a public street...And a comparison of flares between one effnik group and the other would also help us pass verdict :P

I imagine these boys have been waiting weeks since the fines for a crowd trouble story. Sitting there hands hovering over the keyboard for days on end ready to post their well thought out quips. Laughing again and again how their post is gonna stick it to those hypocrite A-League fans once and for all. Quick! We have our chance. Deploy! Ah crap, maybe we should have waited for a story that was even slightly comparable before blowing our loads. No! Let's double down! Aha oh man this is a great day for us. High five!
