+x+xReminds me of 06 who would think a neill mistake would be the difference then. Who would think a ryan mistake in distribution would be the difference today. Salute to ryan, been a star with his distribution for a decade and made some key saves In 2006 I felt sick in the stomach. In 2022 I feel anger Fixed

+xArnold is an embarrassment. Both against France and Argentina he waits for the game to be gone to make a change. Ffs it's a knock out game. Bring on kuol, hrustic and goodwin at half time. Completely disagree. He was about to make the changes before Ryan's error. Arnold has been unbelievable this world cup.

Heartbroken. But amazing that that's even a response against Argentina and with this squad. Imagine once we get our pyramid sorted.

Just watched the Kuol chance again. Gutted. Can't fault him. Seeing gaps with net behind the keeper. If only. Crystal ball stuff we'd hoped with him. My god what a campaign. Proud, frustrated, gutted.

We planned for everything except a player who can’t even spell his own name

Proud, frustrated, gutted. Was so close, not much in that. Body position and how he took it down was almost better than the goal would have been

Thought we were crap, particularly the midfield. leckies worst game, Mcgree the worst player for us all, tournament, offered nothing throughout.
goodwin was good off the bench, Kuol had a good chance.

Natural instinct for both errors playing out is to clear the ball unless you're instructed otherwise.

In 2006 I was critical of Guus not going for it when Italy went down to 10 men.
Arnold put bloody Man Mountain Souttar up front and played with a front 5.
You can't ask for more than that.

I'm proud they did better than expected, argentina are going nowhere. Ryan and mooy should retire, Ryan did have two good games but that's not saying much he's been awful for a long time. The lack of proper strikers is a disgrace and needs to be fixed, we seriously went to the tournament without a real striker. Arnie needs to go now.

Cheers lads. Irvine looks ehausted. Needed some better line up management with him. No Devlin or Deng at this WC is a small gripe. Two goals for Goodwin!! The way we tried and took it to them was immense but absolutely gutted at some of the silliness. Never fear, we'll see it across the board in football even by the greats. We need to learn to cut that out.

+xArnold is an embarrassment. Both against France and Argentina he waits for the game to be gone to make a change. This... But, as Dan Andrews was re-elected, we all know Arsenold will be praised for getting us beyond the group stage -- especially after being filled out like a BBC application in the first game, and only eeking out a draw in the second that we should have won. That is to say, Australians suffer from a kind of Stockholm syndrome where we're compelled to praise that which holds us back. If more of us turned off T. V. Ultra and put the culture into a global context, we'd see the reality of this cultural foible, as plain as day. Fozz will fellate the 2022 effort; Bozza will shit all over it (even if not while sitting on the SBS panel 🤐). The latter will be closer to a honest assessment of the performance, than will the former will.

Going from the dark part of the campaign and the relentless pressure and cracks in the camp to this. No wonder some of them just can't keep their emotions in check right now. You could argue the torture is over for them. I was jittery when we played first up in Kuwait. The fear we might slip up to Jordan then Covid and all the calculating getting to the playoffs (became a math whiz) and going this far and HAVING A FINAL SECOND KICK VS ARGENTINA has exceeded all expectations. Yes, stupid bloody errors. What's new in Australian football?

We got beaten by the genius of Lionel Messi, but the fact we did not give up is quite incredible.
They inspired a whole nation, thank you!!!

+xFor what it's worth Neuer has done it plenty of times. It's the stupidity of thinking they can use their feet. I swear defenders don't often think about the difficulty they put the keeper in when they do those passes when the other team is pressing. It's the equivalent of a rugby league hospital pass. Pretty much all keepers have been undone like that.
