+x+xHe said he had played it as a junior and enjoys the position. As far as the $$$ aspect who would know. What Ciraldo thinks is what matters. Kiraz would need exceptional trial form to start the season ahead of Averillo. Lower grades don't count form at fullback in the NRL when given a chance is what counts. Hard to predict how a player will go in advance. If trial form is even previous NRL experience at fullback gives a player the edge. When a player is injured or suspended, that is a chance for the next guy in line. Sometimes a player is in good form gets a chance and becomes first choice. But I want to see it before calling it over the line. Why u think the coaches opinion overrides the BDPs consensus is beyond me…

Big Bash crowds look terrible on TV. Is there a general lack of interest or is it only the paying customers this side of x'mas. I know I'm struggling to get excited and have tuned out of the games I started to watch.

Kiraz vs Avo at fullback. it’s a tough one. But it depends the style of play. If we need a playmaker at fullback Avo is the better pick. If we need a runner Kiraz. But Avo also has a good running game so would be my pick.
The bigger issues are our forwards. Pangai has slimmed down and could move to an edge. But that leaves us short a middle. And our only class middles are Thompson and King. We desperately need size.

Pangai might start a lock, with Kicks and RFM in the 2nd row, we also have Sutton. Also Patolo, Pele and Hughes at prop. Pele is a monster, a real unit who could do a lot of damage if fit. For the 2nd Row Preston has impressed, we also have Topine. Topine might get a start to lift the defensive work rate. Some question marks, but overall the best squad we have had for 5-6 seasons.

I think we need a good solid traditional oppening batsman sooner or later. I would give Warner Melbourne and Sydney to turn it around, or go out with respect.

The ages of Warner and Khawaja mean we will be looking for two not one if we don't act. Warner will get a score if we give him enough chances but I fear it is only kicking the can down the street. The best young talent needs to be given an extended opportunity.
