+xRFM club captain… Burto and Lou Reed on field captains… Happy with that.. especially Ray… interested to know who speaks to ref on field, expecting Lou… Does it maybe mean (unlikely) Lou doesn’t play 80???… I recon they will probably have different players do the after match press conferences/media etc. I like the on field / off field split and especially Ray as off field captain.

Penalties they can quickly discuss. Discipline the ref can talk to the closest player. Lou should generally be at the ruck and close to the action.

Sorry but I don’t like that at all… And I doubt the refs will be interested in asking or shpuld have to ask who is captain when both are on the field… Ok asking who is C when the C off but not 2 minutes in… what happens when one calls for a reply the other doesn’t want???…

We have situations now where the captain is off the field and the ref has to ask who is captain.

Really who f***in’ cares.
Every team has a leadership group, some official some not, we’ve made it official. Nothing unusual there.
Two on field Captains, just about every team has them too, mostly unofficial. Melb had Smith with the C but Cronk made as many if not more calls than he did and the same happens now and you can bring up any team and find examples of such. So we’ve made it official and both Mahoney and Burton and the team will know who calls what when. It’s just done to share the burden between two young first time Captains one of which may or may not emerge as sole Captain in the season or seasons ahead or maybe they’ll just be that way forever.
The only unusual and very smart difference is the off field Captain thing which has no influence on on field play and takes a burden off both Mahoney and Burton so they can concentrate on the on field stuff. The only people that may be upset is the press but they’ll get used to it or not who cares. It’s a real smart move that I wouldn’t be surprised to see copied aplenty.

We also had a case where a "captain" challenged the ref on another player's authority to make a call on a captain's challenge. It obviously needs to be clear who the captain is when dealing with officials

I would be stunned to the point of incredulous, if having come up with this model, CC hasn’t thought through who handles the toss, who approaches the ref, who does the Captains challenge and everything in between from A-Z including things neither you nor I have even considered. Wouldn’t you be? Because if he hasn’t, these are the least of our problems. The main problem would be we’re being coached by a moron.

From bulldogs fan lens i don’t think anyone here is alarmed, outraged or anything other than interested in how it will work for us on field.. If anything HDs suggestion that the player closest to ref makes the call was met with a negative reaction… cos it should’ve been… I’d reckon one of the considerations by CC would have been ego… I reckon there’s be some players around who wouldn’t appreciate the shared role… The discussion re one player calling for a challenge or even say taking the two and then another player over ruling it saying ‘I’m captain’ is a reasonable talking point and has hopefully been considered by the NRLol after the instance last year… Don’t think the coaches haven’t got that moment filed away somewhere in their sneaky minds… cos if it hasn’t been considered it’s a possibility, however slim of blowing up at some stage.. likely a cowboys game based on history…

Everything, everywhere, all at once.
Certainly lives up to it’s name, you don’t know what’s gonna happen next one second to the next.
Dildo’s, hot dogs for fingers.. lesbians with hot dogs for fingers… Jamie Lee Curtis as a lesbian with hot dogs for fingers, talking rocks, a chef with a raccoon on his head.
All fits together beautifully.
One of the most original movies of the millennium. Most original since Being John Malkovich.
Worthy Best Picture nomination, should win it because there’s nothing else like it. Should win it just for having Jamie Lee Curtis as a lesbian with hot dogs for fingers.
Who thinks this shit up and makes it work?

Might sound like a porno, but this is an Oscar nominated Best Picture movie believe it or not.
And worthy by plenty.
It’s not all dildo’s and hot dog fingered lesbians.

There’s just so much to take in.
Do watch it, whether you like it or not - I guarantee you’ve never seen anything like it.

+xMicko do you swap beers based on specials or stick to the one brew???…
I swap beers a fair bit with the new mortgage because of price. But I normally drink Coopers XPA. But $65 plus a case is getting a bit steep. Coopers dry for $45 is much more reasonable.
I would also say that I have seasonal tastes. When it’s hot Coronas are great. As are most lagers. In winter Guinness is a must. Christmas time I like Crowns, just for memories of drinking them while eating prawns. But Coopers purple cans and blue cans are good most of the year. A good ale go’s with most things. I also love Stone and Wood pacific ale and Balter XPA. Those two taste better than almost anything else. But $75 or more is just ridiculous.
What about you mate?

Actually, thinking back I think I made a mistake about the travel to an alternate universe via dildo thing.
Dildo’s are for fighting.
For travelling to an alternate universe, any phallic type object up the arse will do, like a statue on a desk for example…
… still staying here.

+xVB 30 pack cans. Usually go low $60’s sometimes high $50’s on special. Works out around $2 a beer. Last time you got that at a bar in a pub or club was in the 80’s. And yeah I know it’s a can, but the thing about a can is you chill it in your freezer, or on ice, and then pour it in a schooner, you won’t get a beer chilled better. You lost me at VB. If tge beer ain't black. It's no good.
