Well, these clubs are obviously NOT in the top division anymore and even when they were the whole "ethnicity" thing kept many away... 
The answer, indeed, isnt palatable to what is supposed to be a tolerant, progressive society like Australia.
You dont have to like something to accept it's place in society. 
I personally don't like sushi but dont call on a ban on all Japanese restaurants because they are anti-Australian and not multicultural..... I just dont get the hatred. Especially now that the "multicultural fan" has so many other options..... Don't want to support a club with ties to a particular community .... no problem, support another one instead...
Doesn't mean that there arene't others who see past that petty shit.... Some of the most passionate Hellas, Knights, Bergers fans arent even Greek or Croatian.... 
Clubs need the ability to be able to expand their fanbase (IF THEY WANT TOO) and locking them OUT of the first division isn't going to achieve this... 
If some people stopped fussing over the origins and identity of these clubs and the DNA of their fans perhaps some of them would be able to do so....

NPL is a graveyard and non-effnik clubs get abismal crowds btw.... nit having a go at them but even blind Freddy can tell you that the only time you would get more than parents and friends spectating an NPL game sis when its one of your dreaded wog teams... The division's casualties in Greece amounted to 320 killed, 494 wounded and 2,030 captured.
The fighting on Crete added a further 274 killed, 507 wounded and 3,102 captured to the division's casualty list.

BTW my grandfather fought alongside the crazy NZ troops in the second battle of Thermopyles and later helped smuggle many an ANZAC to Crete during the battle of Kalamata in late April 41... (He didnt survive the civil war that followed but his fondness for the funny Australian blokes he met was one of the reasons why my orphaned father and his sisters decided on Australia as a new home) The Greek army had already capitulated to the Germans in the north earlier that month but many soldiers continued the fight as irregulars, mainly logistically as they had been disarmed (as a mark of respect the officers of the Greek Army were allowed by the Germans to keep their sidearms).
In Crete the bonds between ANZACS and Greek resistance was/and still remains fierce.....

There are shrines and cemeteries lovingly tended to by locals dotted ALL over Greece and post war migration to Australia was seen by Greek society as us going to a friendly country who did so much to help us in our hour of need. Go to any larger (and even some of the smaller ones) Greek city and you'll find an ANZAC memorial, more often than not an ANZAC St or Melbourne Ave or whatever.

This is what our Greek Australian community feels about ANZACS and Rusty and all the other Rustys out there can quite frankly get fucked!

Isnt that wonderful. The Greek community as a whole is completely appreciative for the sacrifices of the Anzacs. I would expect nothing less from this wonderfully integrated community. One racist fascist asshat is no reflection on the wonderful contributions of the broader Greek community of Australia.
