What an odd goal against Ryan there. It appears to be a shot. Trajectory and how it lands in the side netting near the post shows how it's in the perfect passage to beat the keeper. 

Think it's a miss hit cross. It's the (lack of) spin to bring the ball back which confuses Ryan. The ball looks to be pulling back then just drifts over his head. Sorry but he had enough time to look at it, he just hasn't read the flight at all.

Ffs AZ get a questionable pen and it's saved. But just level from the ensuing cross right after the penalty.

How closely does anyone follow the French league? At what point do we start to get concerned about Paddy K?

Troyes are one point above the relegation zone, which I think is worse than when he came in. The recent games they have lost have been by big score lines and their record is the last 5 is 4 losses and a draw. If they don’t get points this weekend, I’d be getting concerned.

Troyes are a yoyo team so I hope that the cub want to give him a fresh go next season regardless of where they land. They may be showing better attacking intent than previously. The club really is a weak basket case however.

I certainly hope Troyes see this as a long term appointment and with CFG involved that might be the case. Genuine question though, how often do teams keep a coach when they get relegated? That has to be pretty rare (though don’t know for sure). 

Paddy K was brought in to save the club from relo. They wont give him a second chance if he fails.

Australian coaches with zero reputation and credibility outside of Australia will always struggle particularly when parachuting into a top league like the Ligue One. Ange learnt that you build your street cred and stocks slowly rather than going for glory straight away. NSL > Greece > A league > Socceroos > J League > SPL > …. 
This process took near 30 years. Not saying it has to take that long but success overseas is as much about reptuation and connections than it is about ability.

Where do CFG fit in the decision? they may see him as the future coach and that the changes need to happen with the playing group. CFG have a controlling stake in Troyes, as opposed to lower percentages in some other CFG clubs, so this might mean that they give Paddy some chances, even if they get relegated. 

On another note, it could be a club for some Aussies in Ligue 2 who are ready for the chance.

His playing group ability would be the major issue by the look of it more than his coaching prowess.
Mind you being thrown in the deep end is no easy task for anyone.
Their defense sucks, leaking more than the bottom club by 1 yet in 16th of 20.
14th down is anybodys game avoiding relo, 15 games to play, hope he steers them to hang in there as long as they stick together and avoid injuries of their key players.

Maybe not as a coach but there would definitely be respect there for him as a player.

After all 48 games for Hearts, 126 games for Leicester City, and 49 for Leeds is a pretty solid playing background.

Solid but he never played in a top 5. His main burden is that he is Australian, look at the way Ange was received when he signed for Celtic. It would be a bit like a Canadian coaching an A league team. Not impossible but more difficult.

If Paddy fails at Troyes I'd like to see him have a go in Japan. Australian coaches now have a good reputation in Japan so easier to be accepted by players, fans and media.
