+x+xPhillip Cancar has left Livingston and is believed to have signed for Newcastle Jets Punted more like. Scottish clubs often choose to play they're own, just a fact of life. Cancer as good as any of Livi's CB's.

Cancer as good as any of Livi's CB's. Really? Cancar wasn't good enough and got moved on. He played all of 3 games in the SPL and 2 in Cup matches before getting punted. On a 2 year contract which commenced pre season, the club let him go cutting their losses. "Manager David Martindale said: “Phill was someone who arrived, and leaves, with huge potential but perhaps the move here was just a touch early in his career and it hasn’t quite worked out how we both would have liked." Scottish clubs tend to play the best players they have available, not their Scottish born ones. Understandable because the TV rights get split up according to where they finish in the ladder and none want to be drawn into a relegation battle.

Anton Milnaric has left Brisbane to play NPL for Oakleigh. He wasn’t playing much there but it’s still a huge statement of intent from Oakleigh

If you believe he Martindale is going to favour one player over another based on his nationality you are delusional, particularly being at a cash strapped club like Livingston. 4th place in the SPL means European football and Livingston is a chance for that this season. Do you really think he is going to make decisions that would make that harder to achieve? His match day team lists show he picks the best team he can for the day. In the last game, against Kilmarnock, he started with 6 Scots, 1 Welshman,3 Englishmen and 1 Colombian. 1 from the Congo, 1 Englishman and 1 Scot were subbed on. In the game before that against Celtic he started with 6 Scotsmen, 1 Welshman, 3 Englishmen and 1 Belgian. 1 Englishman, 1 Colombian and 2 Scots were subbed on. Just for your information Celtic only had 2 Scotsmen in its starting 11. If Cancar showed signs of being up to it in the short term he would have been loaned out to a Championship club but his performances showed he wasn't.

Nah, Cancar is as good if not better than Fitzwater or Boyes. Martingale picks wrong CB's.

Livie's gaffer should have been told the player's name was Phillip Seamus McCancar, a current Maltese Knight or member of the Skull 'n Bones Society or something. Might have made him captain.

Not sure if anyone else is keeping an eye on him, but Peter Gwargis has signed with Delerfors in Sweden. He was saying a couple of years ago that he would be interested in playing for us from memory? When Ryan & Mooy were at Brighton. Not sure if he would be on Arnie's radar

A GG to coach in the first year of the NST would be a good news story.
