+x+x+x+x12 minutes for Mo Toure, he was lively and had a decent penalty shout That's nice to read and hopefully it has the fans and managers intrigued to give him a bit more before the season ends. to be honest he probably should have pulled the trigger earlier, but he did look lively I didn't have the priveledge of watching him in the a league. Was he of the level of kuol, Irankunda and (pre-acl) arzani? Similar to Irankunda with the speed and power but nowhere near his shooting ability. I would say that he's a much more complete player than irankunda. Less explosive but silkier touch, better positioning etc.

That is huge for Toure to get minutes for Reims. I hope he can keep getting minutes and chooses to represent Australia and not Guinea.

Absolutely huge. Cap him.
The Olyroos have the Maurice Revello tournament in France next month. Would be great to see him leading the line in that tournament, and he would have to travel the least out of everyone.

If everyone plays for us our olyroos looks unreal Forwards: irankunda, kuol, toure, Silverado, tulio, botic, Jovanovic Cam: volpato, jelacic, yull, alagich, nisbet CDM: yazbek, darrigo, neiwenhof, Gomulka, trewin, Ballard CB: triantis, JCP, natta, popa, circati Lb: Bos, Farrel RB: Simmons, Talbot Have we ever seen a olyroos like that? Mind you most will be overseas by qualifiers, so no guarantee we qualify unless we unearth some new gems next season

Forgot Robertson and peupion
Apart from Robertson they have all come through our system. The ntc has had a remarkable effect. You just have to wonder, what happens when we have a proper length season of winter football, with a nst and government subsidizing youth Rego fees. We really could be a football superpower

Rawlins certainly in the mix and is so good for 19. Segecic is another. This list is just so exciting. Crucial Circati props up the defence as Natta looked casual in the Swiss camp.

Yull's closest comparison is probably mcgree but with less gritty and a bit more technique. Yull has a ton of promise though and has been dominating the NPLSA this season. It's shame he has had the reoccurrence of the stress fracture. He needs a really good rehab or it could end up ruining his career.

AMB, Luongo, Burgess starting in season finale. Another great season of League One football. Really taken to the League with 7 new additions every season.
Watts still out with an injury I think. Still, a successful loan and exposure to first team football I'd say. I've got my doubt whether Southampton will include him in their Championship squad.
JRB still in recovery for already relegated Accrington.
Iredale still out but Jones starting for Bolton who will take part in the playoffs.

I honestly think this is just the beginning as well. My son has just started playing and so I've been watching a bit of junior football in his age group and the older ones as well. The quality of the kids playing now is like night and day compared to 10-15 years ago and these aren't even the elite kids either. It's kind of crazy how far we have come as a result of the National curriculum.

Massive depth in the midfield

We really could be a football superpower When talking about this new generation of players, some are calling it GG 2.0 but actually it might be fitting if they were called the curriculum generation. The irony given the skeptics were taking pot shots at it in the early years given the benefits its helped create this generation all along.

So few players born between 1980 and 2000 made it to play in the big 5

So few players born between 1980 and 2000 made it to play in the big 5 The effects of no youth development work after the a-league start and when the NSL ended, player development was on the back burner but these days its changed alot at a-league and even at NPL level too who some are doing good work too. The key is to continue to get more players over there and hopefully the reputation of Australian players starts to get better. Also the development gap between 17-23 badly needs to be addressed as we know too.
