The fvckwits in charge of the game are turning it into a fvcking joke, there are rules to Rugby League that form the basis of the game yet knob jockeys like V'Landys, Abdo and Annesley think that they can interpret the rules when and how it suits them and even alter and add rules making the fabric of the game unrecognisable. If anyone reading these posts has anything to do with the NRLol, just fvck off and leave our game alone. I know that the rules need to be modified over time for the betterment of the game but changing and adding rules just to make it more exciting for the punters and profitable for corporates is criminal.

For the last 2 years, nearly every Dogs game is on at the same time as a Hawthorn game.

I record the games in any case, but it would be nice to watch them live and spread over a Fri-Sat-Sun rather than overlap all the bloody time.

I guess with both teams at the wrong side of the ladder, the broadcasters are just trying to keep them both away from prime time.

Exactly.once they are front of the player with the ball they are interfering with the play. It doesn't  matter  if  the  defence  makes a poor decision  it's a decision  they shouldn't have to make. 

If the rules are simple, there is no need for interpretation and inconsistency.

An attacker can't be in a collision with a player in the general vicinity of the ball carrier. 

A decoy has to make it cleanly through the defensive line, stop before the defensive line or get a long way away from the ball carrier.

If the player is in front of the the ball carrier, and there is any doubt, then penalty everytime. 

Contesting the ball in the air and escorts should also be simplifed.

If sn escort is stranding still or moving towards the  ball all is fine.

An attacker can't bump defender attempting to catch the ball, before they touch the ball. The attacker has to jump higher, and get the timing right.

In all cases the onus is on the attacking side to execute correctly, benefit of the doubt always goes to the defence.

Line-ball calls can be a handover rather than a penalty, especially when contesting kicks. So simultaneous collision in the air is a handover, unless the attacker makes contract with the ball beforehand.

Bunker should only be used for tries and foul play. Any doubt the ref, just rules in favor of the defence.That extends to ball security a rake with 2 in the tackle should be clear and odvious.

I’m a fan of the game… forever… every game every week.. since before Fox… I still listen in radio if I have no choice… I don’t put games on record so I can watch seagulls chase a chip live… so if I want to talk about the game in general, I will…

I have plenty of focus on the Dogs… and some of that focus  includes refs being cooked, so my posts are germane… eg SJ obstruction try for the win  first time around this year which possibly had greater impact than just the two points…  or the bullshit hip  drop binning of Presto that absolutely made a difference…

Hip drop ruling is a sheet-stain on the game but that one on Preston didn't have a bearing on the result. We were going down to Souths either way.

The missed obstruction was a joke but I would have preferred the boss came out and just admitted the error ratter than downplay it.

As for me torn between 2 games, I record both and watch the Dogs live and then watch both replays later.  Especially if the teams lose. It's the coach in me that looks for solutions....

The book of excuses are being written now .  We are in a building faze, we need to gel, we are a young I inexperience team , players are getting to know each other , the jerseys are too tight , injuries like we never had seen before , etc etc ..

Which one of the first four aren’t correct???… and is it excuses or fact… and I certainly don’t hear our coach using any of those in post match press conferences… he’s holding the team and the coaching staff  accountable… so people can have a crack at the coach about results… but they can’t have a crack about him making excuses… other than injury, which for the most part of the year has been fair…

We haven’t even played this weekend but people losing their minds because tigers win a couple against teams turning up with a poor attitude…

Sure we’ve had a few awful games.. awful… but I’d like to think supporters and people who understand football would get that that was going to happen this year… 

Tigers actually put a good team together this year .  Adding Klemmer, API, Bateman are not bad additions to a team . Wakeham form has improved shame  Bulldogs could not get  the best out of him . 

I don’t get your point… we added Kiks and Lou  this year, Burto and Foxx last year… Chritter next year… 

They went 0-7 and win a couple of games against poor sides and an ordinary Penrith with Cleary on one leg in torrential rain and we are supposed to slit our throats???.,.  Wakes wouldn’t be in the side but fit injuries, I was an advocate for keeping him… but we can’t blame CC for that…  take Klem and Bateman (say Thommo and Kiks) out and it’s a lot tougher…

I just don’t see a lot of excuses… I see and the coach has said.. a lack of motivation… and yes, that is the coaches lot…

I don't see what the issue is. We win tomorrow and with the bye next week we are 2 points adrift of the top 8.

That will never be good enough… Why can’t we be as great as Parra and the $6M man… oh… wait….

One issue as I see it is some really poor defensive efforts over extended periods of time… the next is poor discipline and silly errors under pressure, which can lead to inability to score points through mainly fatigue and trying to hard one out… These are things we can and I expect are working on… and the better we get with discipline the more we help ourselves with the refs….

The main issue at this time is experts who can’t get we were always going to have an up and down season this year…  Throat slitting can stay on other fan sites for mine…  they do it the best… and I’m not bitter, but any Dibbies out there have not a leg to stand on… 

The obvious issue is that no one in our club has ever taken Mockstradums’ and his ilk advice… Burton to centre, Tolman to hooker, buy Lachlan Coote etc…

Need wins now. When a professor tells you that life expectancy  is three months  you get a little impatient. 

We all want to win.

That extends to the players, coaches and club management.

This is a winnable game, but no game in the NRL is easy.

I predicted the Tigers turn around weeks before it happened, but this latest win over the Cows was a surprise.

I can't see an odvious candidate for the spoon, the comp is even and the standard is high.

One win might be all it takes to get our season rolling.

IMO teams might hit the wall and fade off the pace for a series of losses like the Roosters.

Then other teams might find momentum and string together some wins like the Tigers.

Teams can have a bad patch and then turn things around.

I think that we should trust the processes in place at the club.  The real shame is the period 2008-2018, we are spending 5 years getting things mostly right, just to climb out of that mess. If it wasn't for injuries we would be out.

Nothing to say that we can't have a strong end to the season.That is what I expect, but I can't give a guarantee.
