Good win against the odds. I know the wind from the NW but I didn't think it woulf be the reason for all points scored to southern end?

In any case, once again we have relied on flukey plays for our points. You take them coz they are part of the game but relying on them all the time is the reason we are at the bottom end of the table.

In some ways it can hinder the speed of our development as we become dependent on it rather than improve our middle field plays.

Anyway, I know where we sit in this competition now. I had higher hopes at start of season but I think I'll settle for avoiding the spoon.

If we can get Ben Hunt, I will change my expectations but otherwise I think I've seen our ceiling.

Was 17 v 19 for most of the game.

We needed a win to lift our confidence.

Should get some players back and have a much needed rest during the bye.

Players need to look at some of the attacking options we took and some of the penalties we conceeded.

Marhoney is one name that springs to mind.

It is ok for the other half to do the occasional kick, but when Burto is such a weapon he should be kicking more.

Also need to work on our attack at the opponents end.

Jayden Okunbur...I take back all the bad things I ever said about you. Morrin has great energy. Whoever lit the cracker in Pangai's arse...please do so again next week. One of our finest. 

We had no luck in the first half, even Hughes going off injured was a blow.

A lot of improvement in us especially if we get Kicks back.

However, I agree that the attack needs work. It is easier to set up in attack if 2-3 big forwards can simply run hard for the first few plays. That csn disorganise the defence and leave them short.

The other thing that we should do is stand deeper and shift the ball faster.

I am pleased to see Okunbor doing well.

He has copped plenty of criticism from fans including me.

Good coaching from CC, this role suits him.

Good win to see the team fighting till the end .. A 4 competition point win . Hopefully turning point . Kiraz the new El Masri you know he will give his best every week .. 

Surely it is time to put on the replay of the seagulls? 

Or just go to the beach with a packet of chips and watch it live.

Just watched the highlights again and Tino's forearm to the head of Reed Mahoney was right out of the Steve Hage playbook....if he is not at least given a fine you'd have to say we were robbed once more

Mahoney played it down in the presser.

Stoked for the win. That was a classic Bulldog comeback against adversity. This is what we all wanted to see...... a gutsy effort right to the final whistle and they didn't disppoint, plus, they got a win. As far as the officiating goes the NRLol and the match officials and their boss need to be released and replaced with personnel that understand the game and can ensure the rules are correctly complied with.

I assume people online saying all our points came from luck or were a fluke missed the Burton break???…

The other couple of trys were opportunistic, and if we didn’t take those opportunities the same people would crapping on the team go that…

Dont hold your breath mate. The officialdom at NRL headquarters are on a mission to ruin the game. Problem is they dont know it.

I've been a fan of JOK for a few years and always felt the attacks on him were alittle over the top given this team has been at the bottom of the ladder with so many other issues.

It's clear that he is better suited in the forwards but I reckon his versatility to be able to plug a hole in the wing can make him invaluable to a team if they want to play a 4 man forwards bench.

He made good metres today after we were completely dominated in that first half. It's not the first time he has changed the momentum. He also offers a Nanai or Luki type kicking option on the tryline which others don't. 

I'm glad many others have now realised he is someone we should persist with and develop.

FYI,

Hawks turned it on and destroyed the eagles by 116 points! 

And yes, I'm far from the beach. Time to watch that replay....TK has turned on itself after that game...
