Spurs forum full of all the same crap half the Celtic fans came out with two years ago, including all of the same predictable jokes about his name.
Can't wait to read the rewriting of history as some of these wankers claimed they were onboard from the start.
Ange is gonna rock their world.

+xNeeds to be said City Football Group has been very very good opening pathways for Australians. Does the Yokohama then Celtic opportunity come without CFG? Scott Mun ex-Melbourne Heart is Spurs Chief football officer- no doubt he played a part getting Postecoglou in. I would like to see Muscat get a go next at Celtic even though he played some games for Rangers a long time ago.

+x+xHas his detractors riding his arse from start in a semi pro league and youth coach all the way to a world cup and now top echelon of the EPL, stares them straight down every. Fkn. Time. and focuses on the things he controls and lifts a trophy everywhere he goes. Can also read the Greek alphabet. How can anyone not be inspired by this bloke? Ugh German news comments about how he'll be a total failure. Please wipe the floor with them Ange! These are the stories I love. People that come from humble basic beginnings and as the go each step up they tear apart the establishment there questioning their merit and as you said, stares them down. Can't wait for the press conferences. Germans are the biggest toppers in the business. They'll tell you Ange will never be a top manager because Germans are better. A pint later, you'll mention a goalie howler and they'll top it with har har only in the Bundesliga

Fan reaction on a unexpected coach is universal, same applies here as it did when annouced by the Hoops. More so in one of the biggest leagues in the world. Lets wait and see the first half of next season or more to see what platform evolves before quoting rocking the world..... He has a player exodus to cut through first and recruitment obviously. Dier,Sanchez Davies defenders Levy is waiting on offers, if going new backline to introduce. haha McGuire may come into the mix ?? Son has 1yr left and word he's hearing out offers, Saudi in the mixer it looks like as well - would be a huge loss imo. Kane, will Levy with Ange convince him to stay OR take RM $$$ to buy more decent newbies but IF they lose Kane and Son would be a massive change, maybe that will work to Ange's ways. Its gonna be a very interesting summer and lead up thats for sure. On another local note isn't it ironic the amount of press this is getting, haha afl nrl etc Football being mentioned last few days. Today driving up to the office a disc jock mentioned of Ange and how terrible he was driven out of here, he could have done wonders staying here he said, ffs this bloke is a nrl dood haha Well next season we are gonna have Spurs results mentioned in the press every single game through our summer :)

+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+xIll make it a point to screenshot all the Laliga and EPL jerseys from Aleague games next year for you to laugh at :P hahahahahahahah But this is a promotion to wear another team to the game. (Also, let’s face it there are dozens of Liverpool kits etc around Hellas too.)
And tbf your answer is saying it is mate?
I am not into anyone wearing lots of distant clubs with no connection tbh.
South have reason to be proud, and obviously want to capitalise. All I am saying if the shoe was on the other foot here there would be laughter and ridicule against that a-league club. 100%. Imagine if an A League club was doing this. Sokkah twitter and the bitters would be having a field day. Imagine if the Scottish press even cared enough about ANY Australian football clubs enough to report it........ Any clubs apart from the Mighty South Melbourne Hellas that is :) Even Australian media gushing over Ange coming from South Melbourne now........ Any mention of the Aleague clubs??? Anyone? Anything? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2X2PeNvKng To be fair his career was hanging by a thread commentating for Fox Sports when Brisbane Roar took a punt on him. Roar really is where his professional managing career took off. Sure, if that makes you feel better about things, no worries. Truth hurts. Now your making sense... i agree. https://www.theage.com.au/sport/soccer/i-think-he-ll-kill-it-arnold-tips-postecoglou-for-success-at-tottenham-20230606-p5deck.html
What is often overlooked when it comes to these two great rivals, who were in opposing dugouts for that famous 2011 grand final between Brisbane Roar and Central Coast Mariners which helped launch Postecoglou’s top-level career Managing south Melbourne to national titles and playing against the likes of Manchester United in a world club championship launched his career only a decade earlier....... No really, wtf even is that quote, some sort of joke 🤣 And yet after all that his career was just about done after being sacked from the Greek second division. He came back to work as a pundit on Fox. He got the Brisbane job after Farina was sacked for drink driving. This is verifiable fact. Not the first nor the last manager to have a slump in his career mate.... Setbacks happen and his time at Panachaiko was an absolute disaster (as it was always going to be in Greece) ... Despite that he took an amature gige at Nuna and set up clinics until the next gig came around ....... it happens. FACT is that a decade earlier he walked away from a "safe" job at a a bank and went full time manager at South Melbourne Hellas, winning back to back NSL titles, a Buffalo Cup, The Oceania Champions League and playing against Manchester United, Vasco De Gama and Nexaca in the club World Cup ... all in the span of 4 seasons...... this is all pretty much verifiable too mate...... In 2024 season Angie will be the ONLY manager in the EPL to have managed a national side in a World Cup..... and also the only coach in Australia to have coached against Manchester United in a real tournament ..... he didnt do that AFTER Farinas little indiscretion, no matter what the APL tell Rugari to publish. :)

We just have to remember that the scrutiny over there is on another level, in the media and by fans.
Very few Managerial appointments in the English Football Leagues, are met with out some form of fan criticism. Its just normal for them.
So water of a ducks back Ange.
The only thing that will count for anything is results.

He coached Wittlesea to relegation after coming back from failing in Greece's second or third division (or wherever lower league). Roar took a punt on him, and without that opportunity, I doubt he would have gone anywhere professionally, irrespective of what he did with South. What he's done has been remarkable, but enough of the historical revisionism. The A-League was absolutely critical in giving him the opportunity when he was down and out.

The club seems to have a toxic environment, and it remains to be seen how much control and time he will be given. Interestingly he's role is not Football Manager, but Head Coach. I also think he will need to temper his all out attack high energy philosophy as 1. he doesn't have the players 2. the other coaches have the tools they need to counter that anyway. Fascinating to see how it pans out.

+xWhats the bet someone over at the APL is frantically trying to get in touch with Levy to arrange next years All star match with Spurs. hahahahahahahahahahah I don't think Townsend or anyone at the APL have the brains to think of this. +xNow I have to get optus 25 a month thanks ange lol Yeah i have to see if anyone is willing to go halves in an Optus account. +xFOUR YEAR DEAL! WOW! Lots of faith shown by Spurs. Either way Ange will end up mega rich! We all know how Levy operates, but a 4 year deal would suggest that they are going to give Ange time to sort out the squad. Might even be copying what the other North London side have done with Arteta. And If Kane leaves, there is going to be a massive squad overhaul.

Im just pleased the new FA doesnt seem to share your enthusiams for the APL or even mention it heheheheheheheh Football Australia CEO James Johnson was one of the first to congratulate Postecoglou. “On behalf of Football Australia, we would like to congratulate Ange on his appointment to English Premier League club, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. This appointment is a personal triumph for Ange and his family, and we are absolutely delighted for them,” said Johnson. “Ange personifies the Australian football story: a proud Greek-Australian who immigrated to Australia at a young age and found his place in a new Australia through football. After making a name for himself domestically, from his playing days at South Melbourne Football Club to his success as Socceroos’ Head Coach leading the team to Asian Cup glory in 2015 on home soil, Ange has gone on to test himself successfully in the global football arena against the world’s best.
“This new chapter at Spurs for Ange is a testament to his enduring determination, skill, and vision as a leader. It is also a moment of great pride for Australian football and highlights this current golden age as we see more of our coaches making an impact on football around the globe and a steady presence of players across European leagues, particularly in Great Britain. “Together with our co-hosting of the FIFA Women’s World Cup commencing next month, this is a clear indication that our country has emerged as a new power in global football and underlines the compelling legacy we are building for Australian football.”

Im gonna find it hard to "follow" Spurs but Ill have to watch two full games a year next season lol.... Its certainly going to be the closest season for a while I think... Liverpool midfield re-build, Newcastle singing along, Arsenal finaly not a shambles and Manure back to their best..... Chelsea looking for redemption and all of a sudden it a "top 7" group..... Watch Anges face the first away game in Anfield , hes gonna be like a kid in a candy shop.... Can you imagine, a kid from the Melbourne suburbs lying in bed after training looking up at his Dalglish poster in the 80s dreaming one day he would be managing a club there???? What a dream come true....

+xSpurs forum full of all the same crap half the Celtic fans came out with two years ago, including all of the same predictable jokes about his name. Can't wait to read the rewriting of history as some of these wankers claimed they were onboard from the start. Ange is gonna rock their world. Are you going to pollute that forum relentlessly the way you did the Celtic one?

You try following a Top 4 EPL team for the last decade and being showered with household names as managers only to find that you're suddenly mid-table and with a couch that's come out of left-field. Arrogance/ignorance aside, it's a MASSIVE leap of faith from Spurs and a HUGE jump in standard for Ange. I hope both work out just fine.

yer good to see that again MCG, as a player in the change room nothing like having words hit the soul and get the juice's bursting in ready for action/battle !. MSC, not unexpected from Pep, he's always polite towards fellow coachs and more so having been a fellow CFG employee haha Only watch 2 full games ? WTF do you do late into Sat nights early Sunday morns ????, either the Mrs's is hot or your watching afl replays hahaha. Yep the rebuilds are on the GO, Mac Allister is a Redman now ! bring on the rest newbies. Best thing about the EPL near on every single Club improves or more so very competitive despite the diff of $$ top to bottom. Ange standing in the tech area every game would be pinching himself agree some games, his first game at Anfield I'm sure deep inside he'll be thinking of his early days of worship etc, next imagine his first encounter against Poch's Chelsea. You better get on the EPL season ride more regularly bud. I'm waiting on the fixtures to be released, heading over for Jan IF planets align imagine if its Spurs @ Anfield ! then again I'll be London based Spurs stad will do.

+xyer good to see that again MCG, as a player in the change room nothing like having words hit the soul and get the juice's bursting in ready for action/battle !. MSC, not unexpected from Pep, he's always polite towards fellow coachs and more so having been a fellow CFG employee haha Only watch 2 full games ? WTF do you do late into Sat nights early Sunday morns ????, either the Mrs's is hot or your watching afl replays hahaha.Yep the rebuilds are on the GO, Mac Allister is a Redman now ! bring on the rest newbies. Hahahahaha you made me laugh paisan :). hahahahah Thank God for the Optus "mega mini" :)

LFC 4 - Spurs 3 hahaha There will be a generation of Spurs fans here in Australia.... Like in our time mate (you can almost tell how old a soccer fan in this country is by what EPL club they follow) All around the country next year there will be Spurs jerseys at every training pitch... its actually remarkable. Im thinking about going to Perth with some of the Hellas boys next month to watch them play their friendly

+x+xSpurs forum full of all the same crap half the Celtic fans came out with two years ago, including all of the same predictable jokes about his name. Can't wait to read the rewriting of history as some of these wankers claimed they were onboard from the start. Ange is gonna rock their world. Are you going to pollute that forum relentlessly the way you did the Celtic one? I'm sure he's already gone fishing but for kicks I sussed out spurs forum for the first time..... https://thefightingcock.co.uk/forum/threads/ange-postecoglou.48121/page-212
