Not the first nor the last manager to have a slump in his career mate....  Setbacks happen and his time at Panachaiko was an absolute disaster (as it was always going to be in Greece) ... Despite that he took an amature gige at Nuna and set up clinics until the next gig came around ....... it happens.

FACT is that a decade earlier he walked away from a "safe" job at a a bank and went full time manager at South Melbourne Hellas, winning back to back NSL titles, a Buffalo Cup, The Oceania Champions League and playing against Manchester United, Vasco De Gama and Nexaca in the club World Cup ... all in the span of 4 seasons......  this is all pretty much verifiable too mate...... 

In 2024 season Angie will be the ONLY manager in the EPL to have managed a national side in a World Cup..... and also the only coach in Australia to have coached against Manchester United in a real tournament ..... he didnt do that AFTER Farinas little indiscretion, no matter what the APL tell Rugari to publish. :)

Gimme  a break.  He coached Wittlesea to relegation after coming back from failing in Greece's second or third division (or wherever lower league).  Roar took a punt on him, and without that opportunity, I doubt he would have gone anywhere professionally, irrespective of what he did with South.

What he's done has been remarkable, but enough of the historical revisionism. 

The A-League was absolutely critical in giving him the opportunity when he was down and out.

I think the Spurs fans are 50-50 on the appointment.

The club seems to have a toxic environment, and it remains to be seen how much control and time he will be given.  Interestingly he's role is not Football Manager, but Head Coach.

I also think he will need to temper his all out attack high energy philosophy as 1. he doesn't have the players 2. the other coaches have the tools they need to counter that anyway. Fascinating to see how it pans out.

I don't think Townsend or anyone at the APL have the brains to think of this.

We all know how Levy operates, but a 4 year deal would suggest that they are going to give Ange time to sort out the squad. Might even be copying what the other North London side have done with Arteta. And If Kane leaves, there is going to be a massive squad overhaul.

The APL have been the worst thing to happen to domestic football in twenty years.  The A-League been absolutely disaster under them.
