I know big step up from youth to professional...but these kids are moving the ball quick, seems an improvement from even the very recent teams from 3 years ago.

I reckon that our boys second to the ball most of the time and NOT in control.
That is why Norway got one back to 1-1 at half-time.

Completely dominated in the second half. Great control & passing through midfield. I think Caputo & Okon Jr have been outstanding. Badolato good when he came on.

Yeah after half time Norway looked on top, until we scored(MIddleby). Boys lifted. and then did enough to close game out.
Our Keeper looked alot better than theirs too.

Such a clean finish by Caputo for the first goal. With the City exodus, just play him. 

Agre - we dominated the midfield. Worked through their lines with ease and dominated 1v1 duels

If I was to be slightly critical I thought we need to improve our decision making against a block of 8. Some of those balls in the penalty area - it wasn't clear who they were for as there wasn't a yellow shirt within cooee 

Having said that fantastic to dominate against strong European opposition. This will be the first age group to benefit from the nst while still in the crucial u20 phase. 

So important these kids get game time in senior squads

Mexico are a consistent performer in global football.

I was impressed with Max Caputo in this match, he took he's goal well but overall he has a nice skillset for a No.9 like Jovanovic, great technique, balance and gets others into play and good movement too.

He has great potential, but the only problem is he's behind the best marksman in the a-league in Jamie MacLaren so getting potential game time at a-league could be blocked level if he can't play a major dilemma in a league where its hard for young Aussie strikers to get a go at this level anyway.

Overall a great hit out against some good teams and they did very well, I will be interesting to see if they can build some depth going forward considering it was only a 20 player squad.

They had a great tournament against very good opposition. Great signs for this age group (u20) considering Yull, Irankunda, Toure, Circati, Triantis, Bos, Volpato etc. Etc. Are all 20 or under

As good as Farrell is, we must go all out at the Asian cup and Bos is one great chance where we have a top player of age. 

If we look at what happened last time, the only European-based players that were released to play in the Olympic qualifying tournament were those that weren’t making their match-day squads for their clubs.

I’d wager that if Bos is getting any game time at all in Belgium, they will block him from travelling. I’d assume the same for Bilokapic, Triantis, Yazbek, Jelacic, Peupion, Garang etc

I thought our passing and movement was super sluggish. So many times there was the option to play an early ball only for the midfielder to take 10 touches and end up playing the ball sideways or backwards. It was almost as if Corica had been training this squad. 

A real treat with the Joeys at the U17 Asian Cup vs Saudi Arabia at 8pm and then at 10:30pm it's the Olyroos vs Panama in Toulon. 

Happened with Arnie Socceroos also.  Too many touches, sideway, backwards very frustrating to watch.

I notice a lot we never go forward when we can and should and I have to scream at the TV. We go forward when no one is there.

Evidently there's a massive way to go which is exciting but also a bit concerning. The Ecuador games were much better. It appears Mabil and Borrello with that acceleration can throw off static opponents and Irvine's size wins a lot of ball in the final third in transition. 

So it say the U17 game vs Saudi is in 10Play, streaming only. Is it showing up on anyone's TV? Either way good it'll be shown. 10 appears to have flicked the switch on again allowing VPNS as it was blocked for quite a while to no avail.
