I've just learned Diesel Herrington exists.  18 year old who got a transfer to AGF in Denmark from Brisbane Roar last year.  That's a solid club to move to.

Young CB. I read was close to some first team minutes for them this season. Must have impressed in the u19 team. 

Was one of our most promising Joeys for a few years there, playing for Sporting’s academy. Let’s hope it’s just been a bad year and he bounces back. Still young 

Herrington was on the first team bench some times on my app. 

If Iredale hadn’t been injured I think he’d be out starting striker by now.

Top defender. We had such high standards then that his age and error at times meant he was to go. I recall he wasn't playing too much at club level and there was probably some misalignment with what Ange wanted to do. It was those final Holger games and the Costa Rica friendly outburst to fans that did it. 

Exactly halfway through the J-League season (17/34) and YFM under Muscat is leading the league by 1 point.

John Maisano's brother, Marco, was an agent for American Soccer Scholarships. He quit playing after playing SPL 2 in Scotland. He is aware of players having nothing to fall back on after a career. Although some of the American colleges offering soccer scholarships are a joke academically.

New manager is ex City. Why do I fear he'll have some beef with Souttar? Souttar has dispelled every claimed negative trait about him. He can pass, he can tackle, nimble players don't phase him. He's not going to win every single tackle (who does?) Souttar is a god at winning long ball duels. He just wards off the danger in the air.

I still don't understand why Elder hasn't been given a chance in the national team. With Bos here I doubt he'll be more than a squad player at best now. It feels like he's missed his chance. Reminds me of Bosnar when he was in the Netherlands.

Arnie on several occasions in press conferences has mentioned he’d like to call up Elder, but he keeps getting injured right before international breaks.

I've followed him since reading his name at Mansfield many years ago. This was when we had the left back crisis so it was very exciting to see the prospects. Every single window he got a niggle. Then Arnold had the Davidson, Smith and King preference behind Behich. It was very frustrating because Elder was fit for those windows. The way he runs on the ball, crosses and gets in behind would've been very interesting to see for the national team.

I heard a podcast about 4 years ago and he came across as so well spoken that I wish we'd gotten him in earlier as he was captain material. I think there was something in the camp he joined where it didn't really click with the group. It just can't be his ability being the reason for missing out. I've read a bit in Hull forums that Elder can get on his high horse in public with fans and let loose on issues at the club.

Despite the poor odd game, I think it's the same for Dougall. He clicks with the Blackpool set up but not the national team. 

Yazbek with an assist in a 3-1 win (1 goal & 4 assists in 10 games). Daggers with the last 13 mins (2 goals & 4 assists in 11 games) - hasn't scored or assisted in over a month, mainly because he's had a massive drop in mins. 

Degenek on bench. I think he's had some injuries of late.

Smith has had 101 min all season for Houston. In and out of squad plus injuries.

Gersbach has started 3 games sporadically. Site info has him out injured twice and the rest not in squad but the data doesn't always tell about details such as match fitness or bugs so it's likely a mix of caution and fitness on certain matchdays. Colorado are dead last and got belted 4:0 in two games Gersbach played.

Gianni Stensness picked up a season ending injury at training with Viking. The injury hasn't been specified. 

This is a shame, I’m starting to rate the MLS more and more. If an Aussie player is getting regular minutes, particularly for a club in the top half of their conference, Arnie should be looking at them.

I saw the headline but it was so vague I didn't realise it'd be for the whole season. 

On FotMob it's listed as a knee injury, so that doesn't sound great. Hope it's not an ACL 

Sunderland sign a centre back from PSV. 1 Eredivisie game but plenty for Jong PSV. Tricky competition for Triantis. Really hate to see him have a wasted year but not playing so I think a loan first up would be better.
