+x+xSydney FC have signed young Nathan Amanatidis for 3 years. Looks like he's got massive potential. Him, Irankunda & Bennie worked really well together at the u17 Asian Cup What a dumb career move. Leaves one of the clubs best at promoting youth players for the club that arguably does it the worst. If Segecic had any brains he'd get out asap. Have to agree. Sydney love their older players way too much- they didn’t even play Tilio FFS

It’s entirely our fault for being asleep at the wheel and still not having a director of football appointed. And the guy who is rumoured to be taking the role currently works in the clubs marketing department. Sydney only have Mak and Lolley as their wing options (Segecic is NOT an winger) and their squad is finally full of kids. He’ll probably be in and around the matchday squad every week with them whereas with us he’d be competing with Nestor, Bernardo and Panashe for a bench spot.

Quite a lot of chatter that Degenek is returning to Red Star for 500k. Absolute bargain. Aussiescout twitter has some very good information about plyers I've never heard of. Some Croatian born winger eligible for Australia, Marin Jakolis. Currently 26 but Boyle came out of nowhere.

+xNicholas Bilokapic signed for Peterborough If he's a starter then God move. We'll have him and Maynard brewer both youngsters keeling in English league 1 with the possibility of glover playing in championship also

+xNicholas Bilokapic signed for Peterborough For a fee too. That's good to tell Huddersfield he means business and wants to play unlike Langerak who played himself for 5 years.

I'm glad Nieuwenhof got an overseas move. He's got all the talent and has national team potential. I don't mind the SPL but did think his playing qualities may suit other leagues better.

The wage and career trajectory makes it hard to think how Souttar should handle his case at Leicester. They're still very thin at centre back and he's on the bench vs Spurs but pre season is very provisional until it gets serious. Swansea were keen on a rebuild but I can't see him going there on loan with that wage.
He's of the EPL grade. The rare upward loan to Sheffield or Luton would be something.

Mabil is back at Cadiz for now. They have a game in some hours.
Was at Hannover Villarreal yesterday and their left back was swift. Turns out it was Colombian Mojica who played against Australia. Funny how paths cross unknowingly at times. Anyway you can see the excellent technical ability of these players and they've just started back. I just can't see our players getting gigs in Spain but it's a great place to learn.
Rogic is another whose situation is open. Jakarta links persisting. Retirement too.

Riku Danzaki has joined WU. John Aloisi has done a complete 180 on his usual recruitment strategy of signing pensioners an has signed a number of younger players.

Garang Kuol on loan to FC Volendam in the Eredivisie.
They have a young team with a young coach and he's likely to get a lot of minutes. Probably a good move.

+xwellington and brisbane really struggling for players at the moment. Brisbane has a pretty much full squad apart from the 3 foreign spots we still have free. 18 plus 3 more foreigners is 21 we then have majok and nikolovski on scholarship contracts, and waddington as an U20. need 2 more u20 players from the academy and then that's the squad limits.

I don't mind the SPL but did think his playing qualities may suit other leagues better. a talented good player adapts as long as they settle in the environment/surroundings no matter the comp. That shows they got it, if they can't means mentally they are not strong enough in a kind way.

+x+xwellington and brisbane really struggling for players at the moment. Will clubs announce signings during the WWC? It's been quiet so far I don't see why they wouldn't. Very quiet considering all the departures and gaps that need filling. This long off season doesn't help. Last regular season game was 29 Apr. Next regular season game is 20 Oct. That's 25 weeks which is basically 6 months, Compare that to the J-League which has 15 weeks off. The K-League (also a 12 team league), has 18 weeks off.
