Skipp has scored twice in a practice game against Barcelona. 2:1 currently. Mostly bench players for Spurs but they've implemented well.

Ended up 4-2 to Barcalona who brought on lots of fresh players while Ange only made a few changes and the tired Tottenham players let in 2 very late goals.

Overall lots of positives for Ange to take from the game which was played with mostly a 2nd XI. 

I'm seeing a lot of Tottenham fans be positive about the performance up to about 70mins. 

There are also a lot of insufferable Spurs fans who NEED a "Celebrity" manager for their team and can't bring themselves to supporting an Australian manager from left-field. It is what it is. 

Ange could of won that match... but the defence is just awful... I dont know how he's going to fix it, took Pep a good year or two and 100m in CBs to find a solution to defending on the break. 

He's playing with a 2-man rest defence of Sanchez & Dier. I think most teams would rip that sort of defence apart. 

Romero is far better than Sanchez and with VDV coming in at LCB it gives them more speed/cover/anticipation. 

I'd like another LCB (Laporte ideally) to come in and move VDV to LB so they can play a 3-man CB in BPO.

He plays such a high risk game.  If Postecoglou gets good results early he could build some success. OTOH if some hidings happen early then it will kill the players confidence and he'll be gone inside 8 weeks.

United arguably one of the best transition sides around with Rashford on the break very keen to see how Ange does that'll be the real test in his 2nd week.

correct mate, AP's game is very make or break, he's testing the bounderies of his troops as you would, he's rested his key players so close to 1st game don't blame him.

All n good pre season for any Club showing promising play but the proof will be for all to see through to christmas/Jan.
I wish him well - lucky its Brentford away 1st up but they are a tuff nut to crack at home so will be a good test nonetheless.

Its a bit strange THFC didn't play a warm up match last week, yet played 2 in the week leading up for the opening game. I assume its a match conditioning thing, but when you factor in the cancelled game in Bangkok, you would have expected they try to squeeze another one in. 

But anyway, that long awaited CB has been signed. No doubt they still need to sign another one. I think they'll be highly active over the coming weeks. expect all of Lloris, Hojbjerg, Sanchez, Rodon, Perisic, Tanganga, Ndombele and probably Reguilon to be sold or loaned. Still a lot of dead wood there. 

I imagine they'll get another depth CB if possible. You'd expect Romero amd VDV will be their starting CB pairing. Full back appears to be where they are lacking. Udogie at LB may adapt and has been okay in pre-season. Porro has looked very weak at RB. It'll be interesting where Ange goes with that position. 

It's been announced the clubs have agreed on a fee but it's Kane's choice and he's swinging to Spurs.

Honestly it's not even Kane leaving that's the big deal. It's the dragging it out not giving Ange a clean run at a pre season. Ange has the mentality to focus on what is in his control, but you can't say the same of every squaddie.

Torn i think more than anything, he's been a Spurs lad for sometime, it no matter if it wasn't Ange its more so having loyalty to the shirt he's given all.

Still, him staying at Spurs (if he does) is a big compliment to Ange one way or another.

I think they're signing some dutch CB but that won't be enough - Kane is a 'world class' player to lose him would me Spurs should have no expectations other then finishing above 10th next season
