I expect a hep of improvement this season, and the next etc… We need a couple of hard heads with big bodies…  The coaches have made many of the important changes already with pathways, recruitment, retention…

I agree with ODF, Gus and CC understand footy, mostly I trust them to have the answers.

But in addition, this season the team underperformed and became worse than we should have been. Most of that underperformance was due to Injuries, some was due to inexperience and at the end of the season a lack of confidence and fatigue. But we started the season well.

I also agree that our halves need to improve their kicking games,  but the advantage is both are natural kickers of the ball and Sexton is a proper halfback.

We lacked some size / authority in the middle that meant other teams rolling through our ruck, while we couldn’t dent  theirs.

The dropped ball and lack of combination was an unsettled team line up, inexperienced players and some players with a bad tendency to make a few errors each game. Our inability to defend errors highlighted them.

Size / authority in the middle and grit in defence are the areas we can make rapid improvement. A better kicking game, fewer injuries and a more settled team line up will help.

Last year I had 2 bouts of batflu 1 in April and 1 in November and I must be lucky because both times it was so mild I can say I've had headcolds a lot more severe. Unfortunately i knocked the missus for a six both times

The RFS hasn't conducted their investigations as to the source of the fires but are pretty confident they can blame it on arson.

Can't start on its own now can it?

Arson is the most likely cause.

Can also be lighting strikes, downed power lines, car fires, camp fires and burn off's, discarded cigarette buts, etc.

It doesn't matter what the cause is the still need to fight it.

Once the fire is out they typically investigate the cause.

Stopping arsonists before they Starr fires is difficult, but sometimes they catch them. 

It isn't all bad news at the Bulldogs...the Jersey Flegg team is in the Grand Final this Saturday against the Rorters. The Rorters were the minor premiership winners but the Dogs caned them in the qualifying semi and come up against them again. Some very promising players in the group and an inspirational coach in Luke Vella. Just before Alex McKinnon was injured Luke Vella suffered a terrible injury which left him with a withered left arm. The first one from Walsh has the Warriors guy throw his hands in the air to the ref, and yet they miss the next one, 1 second later!!!

Broncos too good in any case and deserve to go to GF but it could have kept the Wahs in it for a tad longer.....
