a football player from singapore in australia won't get the same patience from fans as a footballer from brazil, even if they are the same level. One mistake from the singaporean and people will accuse the club of skimping on money and not buying good players

Sure there is a perceived bias against the quality of Australian players but a club doesn't sign players NOT to play them..... unless its one of the top 6 who are warehousing and farming off players for profit.

Yes if you are clearly better than your teammates then yes.  But if they are about the same or just slightly better then the nationality of the players could play a big part. If Souttar becomes Van Dyke for Leicester surely they will play him.  

Don't forget ... reading football fans comment they think the Aussies are only good with physical but low football skills.  The norms & stereo types are aussies are good at rugby NOT football.
