+xstrain leaving st mirren Will be an interesting look at how europe rates the scotting league outside of wonderkids and the old firm. He is well and truly a standout in the spl Think mid Championship would be fine. Millwall, Stoke or Watford. Something ike that.

+xWhat happened to Trent Sainsbury surely clubs would be looking at him? Qatar and seems fairly comfortable. Wouldn't mind a Perth homecoming season.

+xSurely he could have done better than league 1. Surely our players are valued over in the continent these days to warrant better moves. A stone in the water always its level finds.

It's good that Genreau and Italiano are finally leaving. The former had an odd time after promotion and coach changes. He needs to go to Belgium. Italiano played over 100 games for the Gladbach reserves and is finally free from the shackles of reserve football. I hope he ends up anywhere to play against men.

According to AussieScout, Jake Girdwood-Reich has signed for MLS team & will break the SFC transfer record. Have watch JGR play this year & he's got a bit about him, very good player & good money for SFC.

If i were to put a positive spin on the baccus move, players are more lilely to improve quicker in league one as it is rapidly becoming more modern and less hoofball
Only 4 teams in scotland achieve more than 300 passes per game compared to 12 in league 1. In 22/23 it was 9 teams and in 19/20 it was just 5. The lower leagues in england are rapidly modernizing and no longer a bad place for our players to improve
He stagnated this year and scotland is poor compared to similar level leagues at adding value to players. So maybe its not too late for this to be a step in the right direction despite being 25

With the way Baccus has been on late I think it's a good dose of reality and he can set new goals and try to build up. Despite being an Arnold favourite, we have better mids coming through and should he fade away, we're going to be better off anyway. Maybe Meulensteen could have used he’s Dutch connections and found him a club in holland. Its a underwhelming move and it better pay off for him otherwise someone else could take he’s spot in the Socceroos team. Yeah, it's a sideways move. He hasn't really progressed since he went to the U.K.

We dont know how he will go but he is competing with oniell, neiwenhof, francois, triantis, devlin, perhaps for 8 genreau, robertson, irvine, metcalfe, balard and nisbet. Surelyhje is down the pecking orde for both 6 and 8 He's behind every single one if you ask me. Every other player list has a wider set of skills or package if you will, depending on what you need. Devlin was nervous against Ecuador and simply had one chance. Baccus has had many more and has been complacent. Metcalfe has the versatility, Nisbet has better agility and smarts, Balard has the vision and distribution and Triantis has the defensive prowess when required. If anything he should be set as an inverted right back given Arnie's system. Yeah he is down my pecking order too. Mind u would have thought with 46 games a season surely a championship side could have worked out

Good news is Baccus has sorted a move early. He'll be highly regarded at this club and that should be motivating. He'd still get plenty of game time in the Championship due to the big schedule but here he will be used immensely you'd think. League One is great. Birmingham against Mansfield or big games at Bolton or Huddersfield. Mansfield will make their home ground a fortress.

+x+xKeanu Baccus has signed for Mansfield Town. They win promotion from League Two this season. Wow that really is something. They play very aggressive football. He'll be right there. As Mansfield spent so many seasons in League 2 it's hard to imagine the finally up and maybe even tarnishes Baccus's standing a bit. I don't think they'll go down however as they're fairly poised. Definitely a move I wouldn't have bet on.

Brisbane are set to sign 21 year old American defender Marcus Ferkranus. He is a former US U-20 international but also has Australian citizenship so won't take up a visa spot and is eligible for the Socceroos.

Bos going great in Belgium. The fact that Hannover played an entire half of the season with a right back at left back frustrates me. The way Hannover play suits Bos. I hope he steers clear of Italy but I think it should be Belgium or Bundesliga 2 for the next 2 years then the big 5 jump.

Brisbane signed Ben Warland. Not really a loss of us with Kikianis breaking into the first team.
