+x+x+xSounds like Arzani needs to get out. Either way the public reasoning given by PK for the Arzani omission is disrespectful to the cup competition at best. Why? Arzani was dropped because of a bust up with the coach. Kisnorbo wasn't airing dirty laundry in public but communicated he stands by his decision to drop Arzani from the squad. I don't see how that's disrespectful. I do hooe Kisnorbo/Arzani can mend the relationship though. Think he meant it’s disrespectful to significance of A Cup. Paddy said he was ‘experimenting’ with lineup- who does that for a cup Final?? He didn’t seem to give a crap if they won it or not by not selecting his best winger Correct.

+x+xDaniel Arzani was dropped after a massive bust-up with Patrick Kisnorbo at training last week. This has insinuated from Arzani being offered to other clubs during the offseason. The club wanted Arzani to play but Kisnorbo insisted on dropping the Socceroo This makes sense, as him not being in the squad for the final was a wild call. I mean the stunt for Coogee was moronic at best so maybe Daniel has some growing up to do. Some growing up to do but he was still the best winger available for MV Sunday

The club wanted Arzani to play but Kisnorbo insisted on dropping the Socceroo I heard Arzani cracked it when he was told he wouldn’t be starting in final? Either way Paddy did what was best for his ego instead of the club who really should have won Sunday. Well done to the lower French division reject 👏👏👏

+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+xHarrison Sawyer has signed with Mcarthur apparently. Not sure if he will even bother fronting up to the ACUP quarter final for us on Wednesday, oh well at least he will be spared the shame of fronting up against Oakleigh next weekend being cup tied. Good luck to the kid, thanks for the memories..... again. Now confirmed by South. Credit to the big man... He turend up at the QF and played his guts out to help get us over the line. All the best biug Harry, Golden boot in 2022 and 2024, and NPL VIC Premier and Dockerty Cup winner.... Good luck in your Aleague jaunt, you will ALWAYS be welcome back... Effective immediately. That means he could actually be named for Macarthurs lineup on Saturday. No mate, I know the APL clubs have free reign to do whatever they want in this country but even they cant play a cup tied player.... surely? As long as his contract date commences before Saturday, I don't think there is anything in the regulations stopping Macarthur from naming him in their squad. No different from any other new signing. Not saying they will, I reckon they probably won't, but they definitely could. That being said, it probably wouldn't be a smart move. Too soon, the bloke would be too uncomfortable and distracted to perform well, especially with it being a game at lakeside. I can't find the FA one, but at least the federation clubs have to adhere to this..... Wouldn't surprise me if the APL has some sort of exemption.. IF Harry plays against us and scores it will just be the absolute worst... I mean these APL clubs show no regard to any other club, they come to our grounds 2 hours before kick off, dont come into the social club for a feed after the game - win lose or draw like every other club in Australia and generally live in their own bubble... https://www.footballvictoria.com.au/sites/ffv/files/2024-02/2024%20Dockerty%20Cup%20and%20Australia%20Cup%20Preliminary%20Rounds%20Rules%20of%20Competition%20%20%282%29.pdfhttps://footballnsw.com.au/wp-content/uploads/sites/33/2024/03/Australia-Cup-Supplementary-Regulations-2024-Football-NSW.pdfII) No player shall be permitted to play for more than one Club in the Australia Cup and can only represent the Clubto which he is currently registered. Do you think if Liverpool play a cup game against a fourth division club, that they stay behind for a little social gathering after the match ? All that happens is, is that manager will go up to the other managers office and have a whisky, beer or a glass of wine whilst the players are getting ready for the bus. We are not in the seventies anymore. We are also not in the United Kingdom ... This is Australia and how things are done.... (at least for real clubs with the facilities to host rivals after the match) That's right, your in the penal colony. And you're not? As a free settler, keeping an eye on you lot. Heard Wuhan's bought up half of the Surherland Shire. You might have to learn Chinese I reckon.

+xSydney FC have signed Alexandar Popovic on loan from K-League club Gwanju until the end of January. Is it just me or is that a bit of a weird one, signing a player for only 4 months. Seems like there would be a bunch of very similar players they could get for the whole season. Option to buy is included

Auckland has signed a Chilean, Belgian & a Uruguayan, all seems decent but not earth shattering, they are putting together a decent team for their debut season.

+xAtkinson with a bit of home sickness I reckon. Definitely could've played on continent but it's important he gets playing right away. I think its worked out where he fits in the football scale of things tbh otherwise he would have been kept or another Club on the continent make an offer.

I'm sure I saw Salah & Mane in a Colchester nightclub 5-6 years ago partying with Colchester players, buying them drinks after beating them in an FA cup tie while I was visiting family in Colchester. I could've been wrong though it was very dark in the nightclub & I had a few. Poor Colchester, Didnt they have a social club and the integrity to at least provide a meal for the visiting team before sending them out into the cold English night??? Hospitality is dirty word in Britain it seems...

Alex Popvic was going to get a loan to Sydney fc plus one more back. No news on that. Auckland fc still had two spots to fill, don't know anything there either.

All that happens is, is that manager will go up to the other managers office and have a whisky, beer or a glass of wine whilst the players are getting ready for the bus. We are not in the seventies anymore.

Brisbane Roar singing Indonesian and u23 international Rafeal Struick might be the most interesting singing of all the signings. Hard to gauge how he will go but he scored twice against South Korea in the u23 championships and recently he played for Indonesia last week against the Socceroos starting up front.
Even though he’s from the Netherlands he will bring a lot of fans from Indonesia, so if he does well he could be a hit.

+xFair bit of transfer news tonight my thoughts; Sawyer very stiff to leave south Melbourne during the Australia cup but it's football Brisbane signing is very astute interested how many Indonesians will follow the a league because it's a pretty high level for them. City happy with both signings. I rate players returning to their club so fans will be happy to see Atkinson and Cohen looks good Folami has come out of nowhere I forgot about him. He has a chance to reinvent himself at Adelaide some players go to another level when they change clubs some don't... Always liked Folami. A shame he never kicked on that much. Injury crisis saw him play for Australia against Japan. Good luck to him.

EXCLUSIVE: Ben Folami has joined Adelaide United on a 3-year deal. Adelaide will only pay 25% of his wage and Victory will cover the rest as they were desperate for the departure and Adelaide were the only club interested ✍️🇦🇺 #aleague #melbournevictory #adelaideunited

Atkinson with a bit of home sickness I reckon. Definitely could've played on continent but it's important he gets playing right away.

🆕 Nathaniel Atkinson has left Hearts to join Melbourne City. The full-back makes the move back to the A-League side on a permanent basis.
Everyone at Hearts thanks Nathaniel for his time at the club and wishes him well for the future.
