It has not been a fair contest. A ton of possessiion for the slime through poor ball control from us and poor rule control from the refs. I was happy with our defensive effort though, it could have easily been 50 - 0.

I think we showed more grit than round 1 last season.

With the opposition having all of the ball in the first half, we were cooked on a hot day.

When Parra finally made some errors late we posted a couple of tries, but ran out of time and energy.

Obviously we need to cut down the errors, the attack looked clunky at times.

If the players were not fit that game will get them fit.

Obviously the injury to Fox is a concern but we have good depth in the backs, Xerri or Skelton.

Kicks might be charged for the attempted kick pressure that is a 50/50 and might only be a fine again KK is a reasonable replacement.

Only question marks are halfback and fullback, I would  need to watch a replay the did contribute to the 2 tries we scored but also contributed to our earlier errors.

Forwards lost the battle, but it is hard on a hot day when you don’t have the ball.

Overall I am hoping that wasn't as  bad as it seemed or 1-2 team changes can make a difference.

The way to beat Parra is put them under pressure, we barely did that before the 60th minute. 

We were way behind in every stats department and a great defensive effort at least kept us in the mix for a majority  of the game. I believe it's the scum fans that should be worried because on a flat track they will get lapped.9

Ref definitely didn’t help matters , slim got away with a lot questionable passes and their 10 metres .. 
Critter hardly saw the ball …

The change I am considering is Critter to fullback with Xerri and Skelton promoted, Foxy probably out injured.

We need more size in the back 5 and more aerial threat. 

Halfback I would probably give Hutch another chance.

I may change my mind on this after watching a replay.

Forwards wise any possible replacements  need more time in reserve grade. But KK was very good in the trials. 

The Slime defended well,  kicked well and made few errors in the first half. However, with a mountain of ball in good attacking conditions their attack didn't do much.

Enough excuses. The team that I support doesn’t play that bad. 

Critta should be fullback. We need his talent at the back. He is wasted in the centres. Xeri deserves a run with Kiraz on the wing. Wilson out no matter what. He isn’t ready. Better off with Skelton. 

No team will win with only 30% possession and a lack of field position and if you think we weren't on the receiving end if a lot of shit calls you have your eyes painted on. The slime were given a leg up on every opportunity. I'm not sayng we are always dudded by the refs but I will call it when it's apparent.

You say Burton is not a ⅝ and I'm saying Critter is not a fullback.

I’m predicting the following. 

Honestly mate. You are one eyed. Every time we lose you blame the ref. If we didn’t drop the ball we would have had more ball and field position. But even when we had it we did nothing with it. 

When did I say Burton is not a half or five-eighth????

I’ll agree Critta might not work at fullback but isn’t it worth trying him there when we have so many other options in the centres?

Critter has played a few games at fullback and looked OK for the Panthers. 

Taaffe made a few errors in the trials and the first critical error that set the tone for the game.
We also didn't get Critter involved enough in attack. 

Actually I am expecting that CC will not change any spine positions, 

I think Critter would be a  very damaging ball runner at fullback 

It is only week 1 and our defence was good, but we also need to find ways of improving the team.
