Just finished God of War: Chains of Olympus on PSP. Bit short but it was chock full of the greatness that made GoW 1 and 2 the best PS2 games ever made.

I'm a big meh for D3. D1 and D2 were awesome, but I'm not sold on this cartoony bullshit that blizzard seem to be sticking with now. WoW, SC2 and now D3 all in this bright and cheerful cartoon crap.

In other news, Fifa09 won't let me buy any silver packs for my team, it keeps telling me I've only played 5 matches.

Diablo looked like it did because technology then obviously wasn't as sophisticated as it is now. If you've got all the power of today's graphic capabilities, you'll use them to the fullest and not solely use a dark colour scheme.

WarCraft has always been full of colour with it's unique style.

Can't comment on StarCraft since I never played it for more then 10 minutes.

I used to have Starcraft and was a addicted to it. They are finally going to release SC2, there are also trailers all over youtube on it with test screenings.

You have to play at least 6 games to purchase the silver packs.

But I do know that their servers were having issues this morning when I tried to play a few games before work kept on not letting me select certain players and my created player was missing. Their servers seem to be a tad unstable, hopefully this will be rectified as I like this concept and think it will really catch on.

Yeah, its only just started up so bugs are likely.
I noticed whenever I play other teams online, their created player is just called Player1 on my screen haha.

Yeah, I left it for a while then came back, played one and it went to 6.

I played about 10 games today. Scored once. A combination of my **** player, me being **** at the game, and lag is killing me.

I lose so many goals by the other team just passing from CB to MC to Striker through ball goal, I try that and 1) The CB will kick it into someone or 2) The midfielder will get pressured by 3 opposing players and lose the ball 3) The striker stands there like a moron, doesn't make a run, and watches the ball be intercept from him.

If I do manage to make it through, I'll have 3 of the other team instantly run back and knock my player off the ball. Something my players are incapable of doing. They end up on the wrong side of the ball to the player, who can just pass it around at leisure.

macktheknife: sounds like me and you are at the same level... I kinda suck at the game also, might have something to do with my team currently being utter sh!te at the moment or could just be me... :)

haha. Its a bit tough at first, but your team gets better. I have won a few cups now too :)

I played another 3 or 4 matches. Is there some button I've missed for "stop the opposing centerback from taking the ball off you"? or the "make perfect run into the space along with a perfect through ball" button? I played 4-5-1 and get raped, even with full defensive settings (contain and stay back in our half), the other team can pass at will, whilst I get the ball taken in 3 seconds.

I had a goal against me where (3 star team, so not that great) they passed it around the field for 15 passes, then made a short cross into the centre, where their created player headed it into the goal from the penalty spot, with no defenders anywhere near him. What the fuck?

I did manage to score once, got behind them on the wing, came inside, and low cross into my striker, who stabbed it home.

Dont be afraid to pass it backwards. Try to change the point of attack.
