Based on that Koul will never play a competitive game for NU, he should get out before he’s completely ruined.

+xKuol genuinely looks like a local league player. Wtf After watching him at the last U23 Asian cup last month it looks like he totally forgot how to play football.

Can't expect much more of Kuol at the moment. Shot for confidence, recovered from an illness in hospital. The remedy? League 2 loan to Carlisle United under Paul Simpson. Get battered around and toughen up and add some muscle and learn the defensive elements too.

Lower EFL has 46 League games and up to 4 cups. He may not necessarily be first choice all the time for the condensed A League campaign whereas the EFL forces rotation and guarantees more football due to the minutes available.

Maybe he could link up with Monty depending on if he gets something in the EFL?

If Irankunda playing in Koul's spot in this exhibition game he would've done something spectacular.
Koul needs to eat more , build more muscle. Looking like Sam Kerr got more muscle than him. And most importantly learn a damn basic first touch.

The penalty shootout at the end was a waste of time, the players faces said it all.
It’s tough for the players as it is with the huge travel, at least the all star game against Barcelona a couple years ago was fun unlike this one.

So just realized the two touches i saw were his only touches. If i havent mistaken their identity (was watching at work) i dont think they were bad touches
His first touch was on the sideline with his back turned to goal. He had a really nice touch so the ball was behind him for him to run onto it. In the a league and even in the eredivisie this normally beats a player but the player was well positioned so he turned the ball over. It is rare we produce a player who can be effective with poor body shape
In kuols case the right thing to do there is to glance before recieving the ball. A big difference between the a league and epl is how often players glance
The second touch he again recieved the ball in poor body position but was still effective and able to turn around, advance the ball and release the winger. However the pass was overhit
His much bigger problem whether at a league, eredivise, spfl or epl friendly is his ability off the ball. He needs to be much better at finding pockets of space. His touches per game are really low. He has compensated for this by his quality on the ball, but the defenders are better, as we saw tonight, and even at eredivisie level it can nullofy his qualities a bit
He is very young and will improve. Apologies if I misidentified which touches were his, was watching at work

Can't believe it's the same player that captured our imagination 2 years ago & nearly scored the equaliser against Argentina!!! It looks like he's lost all confidence. He desperately needs a loan where he's guaranteed mins. He's still only 19, so has time on his side to turn it all around. But yeah, he's never playing for Newcastle

He looked ill and raw tonight. It can only get better. I know it's a farce end of season game but once again, he was played here as a lone striker against Angeball post a hospital visit.

Yeah shame this is his first impression. Should get more time on friday. He gets so few touches that he really needs to make every touch count Difficult to tell his level. On the ball, apart from the last month or 2, he is already epl level. Off the ball he is below league 2 level. He could struggle to get game time in league 2 or get lots of game time in champi9nship depending on his luck and whether the coach rates him. Really hoping for a stroke of luck for him soon

Played out of position. Volendam was good up until Christmas so it gets a pass mark. Just imagine a dusting off in the lower tiers over the next 12 months. I still think Carlisle and Paul Simpson can set him right. Simpson is excellent with young players and can guide him. Morecambe had up until recently only 1 registered player so they'll need players.

Hope the code makes money, but im not tuning in unless kuol is subbed on. Happy for those who enjoy it I guess but not for me I'm the same. A friendly involving two teams that'd rather be on holiday. Didn't even turn the channel over.

Christ almighty the excuses. You reckon the Toon don’t have top line quacks physio’s etc plus a mental health coach to make sure players are in good mind and able bodied to be incl in a line up - let alone a Mickey Mouse game. Then it’s against Angeball lol You guys are entertaining got to say.

I didn't watch it but reading this it seems Kuol was poor. Let's hope Irankunda doesn't go down the same path because Garang left with such high hopes.

I turned on last 15, I was shocked how bad he was, that was not normal for a player who has been in Europe all season. Can;t blame illness he's a pro at a club with huge resources. They're not putting a sick player out there in a pointless match
