I have played the same game 4 times this morning (qtr final in a cup) each time I have won either on penalties or won outright and every time it has frozen on the cup tree picture (the screen where it shows who's playing who) - its really farking pissing me off... Might leave it for a while and play some fallout 3...

BTW my chemistry ranges from 50 - 60 pending who I have one and I have an english backline, german midfield and generally an english forward line but just depends who has games left on their contract.

Yeh it froze on that screen in one of my quarter finals as well...I'm gonna try and get an all aussie team.
The contract things annoy me lol

the contracts can get a bit frustrating but I just got a silver pack with 5 player contact cards in there - all silver - so that kinda helped a bit :)

Yehs some packs you get heaps and some you get none

Chemistry is the fucking key.

I deleted and restarted after yet another loss (I think I played 24 games, I don't reckon I won any of them), and set to work filling my entire team with pommies (as they were the largest contingent in the starter pack).

I played 3 or 4 matches against the AI for some easyish coinage, and went searching in the trade for cheap english players. I got my chemistry over 70ish by filling the 4-4-2 completely with English players.

My first match online, I thrashed a 2 star team 7-0. I kept building the team (at this point it was mainly keeping in front of the contract expiry), and added a couple of better players, a won more matches, handing out a couple of thrashings to similar 1 star teams with no chemistry, including one hilarious match where after 10 minutes of game time I was 4-0 up and he quit (I sent him a message re chemistry).

Then I bought Harry Redknapp. Chemistry shot up to 89% Still a 1 star team though, no staff apart from ole harry, and won a few games.

Then I played a 4 star team with a Barca crest, players including Jagielka, Lahm, Bentley, Jansen, Murphy, Keane and Von Bommel.

15 minutes in, I played a perfect through ball to my created player, only to be cut down on the edge of the area by Jagielka, who saw red. I curled the FK into the net for 1-0. We pounded them for the rest of the half, absorbed some attacks in the 2nd, then a mazy run from my other striker (my only silver player), I broke into the area, knocked the ball onto the right foot and sidefooted it into the corner of the net Henry style.

2-0.

My chem is only 30ish. :( Will focus on fixing it when I have some more cash.

Just won my 12th cup. :)

Yeah. Thats what made me rage the other day. The way I fix that, is I sign in without connecting to Live first, and once ive started the game I connect to live. Because its the Live stuff that makes it 99% of the time

I just pull out the power cord. It's a trick I learned from PC repair, if a PC freezes, even after rebooting, the motherboard will still be active regardless because it's always got some power coming from the wall socket. Once you pull the socket (or the plug for it on the PC), it clears the motherboard. Seems to fix it for me.

Just had a guy quit on me at 6-1 with 30 minutes left :smug: Scoring for fun. Scored 9 earlier as well. Bought my first silver pack, didn't get much worthwhile, it's really hard/annoying keeping the contract situation sorted.

Things I want for my team:
1) A Wolfsburg crest. My team is West Sydney, so unless there is something with WS or West (not Sydney FC), then that's the best. A big green W. Plus Wolfsburg ifb irl ofc.
2) A Black kit. I had one for my last team. Black Kits :cool:

It's nearly impossible to do such things, because you cannot sort the club info stuff by anything more than gold/silver/bronze.

I wish there was an online (ie on a pc) way you could interact with the non-game side of it. Would really have liked to gone offline (other people taking over the tv for the night), and sorted out my subs.

Does anyone know what the name of that horrific stadium with a shadow hanging over 90% of the pitch is? Want to avoid picking that up if possible.

I like the commentary in Ultimate Team too, its good to have something different than the same old in the regular game.

You could download them actually, a while back there was a 2nd english pack. If you look on the DLC for FIFA 09 you might find it.
