I think its fair enough what Preston are doing MSC....... We all hope for good behaviour but there is always that small % of idiot risk that in their position now working so hard to show themselves worthy of next seasons NST the only headlines we need is a good football game and sell out. Should be an awesum night.

Bring on the derbies :) Yeah I agree with what Preston is doing... both our clubs recognise the massive opportunity this represents to pivot into the future... There may (Im not 100% sure on this) be a further announcement of NST on or after the night as most of the stakeholders are at an event before kickoff... if this goes off how I pray it does, it will be very good for the game here, very good.

Our women's team has played Preston quite a few times lately and none at both clubs cares about all that 90s bullshit anymore... Most of the fascist ultra ryhards only go to the tennis and to Aleague matches now thank God .. Hope they stay away. There will be enough angst amongst supporters without some dildo thinking they are the self appointed defender of Alexander the Great's legacy in Australia... lol

We're excited to see that our very own coach Esteban Quintas will be part of the team at Optus Sport for the upcoming Copa America coverage. Vamos!

I like his background, look forward to Euro and Copa - so I'll be listenning to his commentry input. Look forward he taking on Parisi next season :) I looked up some of his bio/articles, true footballer as expected by this quote : "When we ask him what he thinks about the system under which Australian football operates, he appears straightforward. “How can relegating the biggest clubs in the country to the second division without the possibility of them being promoted to the top level be a good idea? My mind cannot comprehend this misguided A-League venture, as if they are trying to sabotage the sport. We must change this in order for the biggest sport in the world to receive the attention and development it deserves here in Australia.”

Wears his heart on his sleeve (or sitting on the ice-chest during the game ala Bielsa :) ) Alot of South fans weren't convinced the first 2-3 seasons despite his incredible win/loss record because of the defensive set up and boring route one play but this year he has tried a few different things and it helps we have a striking partnership that works as well as our defensive structure for once... Performance in both the league and the cup this year has everyone (or mostly everyone, South fans can be a whinging lot :) ) satisfied. Its surprising that Optus reached out to him to be involved in the Copa broadcast, I guess there isnt much South American Aleague representation these days??? I was going to be watching Argies games anyway but now will look forward to his comments too.. Interesting that Optus seems to be really invested in connecting with the "effnik" clubs these days isnt it :P

I’m sure they would like to get more involved with the Aussie game but it doesn’t seem to fit their model at the moment.

Great to see. There’s so much history and great stories from the past and present that can be covered for the upcoming championship whoever does have the rights would be silly not to have a mini series about the different rivalries and teams. The great puskas at south should be one

TBH don't need Optus looking ahead even though I enjoy being a subscriber.. New NST viewing rights partner could work on this, also now that the Feds are activating YouTube live links now which is great Club stories can be added to each Feds sites and links.

WTF was that all about lads?? Last night was the flattest I have seen us play all year... Still a win is a win, plenty of chances, the bloody ball just wouldnt go in. Well played to Dinamo, they gave us a challenge, all the best with the rest of your season, hope you can avoid relegation. So Round of 32 in Australia Cup, Semi Finals of Dockerty Cup and top of the league with a 4 point buffer... big game at the village on Sunday, could be the last time we head out there for a while... FORZA HELLAS. https://x.com/smfc/status/1800856503248633971?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Etweet
