+x+x+x+xYou gotta hand it to the afl gws and gold coast are successful GWS are very successful in Melbourne - much less so in Sydney. If you follow AFL in Sydney you follow the Swans. Exactly, the AFL media in Melbourne have convince the people from there that AFL is big in Sydney. When I drive around the grounds I see kids/adults playing or practicing football, or Oztag (touch footy) or in summer Cricket as well. The talk in the pubs, offices cafes, football grounds are about the NRL and State of Origin currently, some cricket talk, some O/S football teams plus Matildas & Socceroos. Very little talk of the swans & nothing of GWS. I love my sport but could not name a player in either team since Buddy retired/left. They are averaging 24 at their home games that's more then a league teams and Nrl teams so it's successful for them Fair enough if they count attendances as their barometer, but AFL is a niche sport in Sydney, football is bigger than the sport of AFL. AFL is bigger than the A-League no doubt, but not the sport.

Do you just correct people on trivial bullshit that nobody cares about? Like when someone calls Dundee united 'Dundee' and you chime in like they've just committed the world's most ridiculous error. Mate, nobody gives a fark

Mate, nobody gives a fark lol I got to say reminds me of my Toons instead of Toon but alas, no harm but seems sutho is a details man whereas others like me are not and as you say wgaf. All sutho takes all types for I have my issues that no one would care about that game, footy as its described down there, why didn't they retain where the game really came from, gaylic football in the guise of trivial bs :)

+x+xThat'll do me. An Australian football forum talking about AFL Ok let's talk about Alex quarter finals in the French open Mate I hope he wins!!! I'm a massive sports fan in general, especially Football, Cricket & Rugby League. I've never been able to get into AFL or Motor sport (which I didn't even consider a sport anyway). As long as the discussion doesn't involve AFL, I'm all good 👍

I assume you kept tabs on the spanish F1 NCB ? McLaren sure have sorted their car out now to RB's pace. Shame Piastri screwed up. AA minor happy ressult for DR finishing above his team mate. WTF goping on with the Ferrari's, MB have also lifted their game finally.

Yep, bit more competition now - but I think it shows just how ahead of the game Verstappen is as a driver (Rather than the dominance being down to the car itself). Ferrari is... well, just being Ferrari. If we go by comparison of the last big title drought, we're in 1997 (Although much, much, much less competitive than 1997)
