That has been coming, the attack is also much improved and we must also be climbing the attacking ratings.

Should we sign anyone before June 30th?

People will say a large middle enforcer, but no club is going to trade away a proven high calibre prop mid-season.

This is the list of middles that are currently out injured:- Sutton, Patolo, Knight, Todd, Fifita.

I expect some of them to filter back into reserve grade/ Massey cup over the next 3 weeks. I don't expect any to be ready for NRL before the next bye.

We did well against Parra with 2 high workrate middles out HIA for the entire second half. 

Who would trade with us?

Roosters and Parra are well stocked for forwards, but skinny in the outside backs.

Roosters are perhaps looking to move the Cheese on. 

We could possibly trade Perham + Turpin for the Cheese and a young forward. The young guy probably would not be playing NRL this season.

There may be off-field issues with the Cheese that are hard to manage, but it may also be that the right environment and the right support might help him get his life on track.

Any contact would need clauses which allow us to exit the deal if he doesn't stay on the rails.

Jimmy Graham is a friend of his and can possibly help us get a read on him.

Football wise he can play as a running lock, second rower, prop, his passing isn't great, but is probably above average for a forward. This is the role he should be playing, he isn't a 9.

I think that he would add a bit more punch to our forwards.

Perham is a reasonable depth winger/centre at NRL level, I would have Samarini and Clark ahead of him at centre. He will not be here next season. The Cheese offers us more than Turpin, Hayward would be our next 9 if Lou was injured.

I am optimistic against the Chooks,  if we do win, that is the end of us flying under the radar.
