If you sit in those booths (there's a couple there), I've found its almost impossible for Grenades to kill you, and the dogs don't run in...But there are shitloads of grenades tossed at you, and they end up acting like smoke grenades, you can barely see.

Yeah, I used to try in the Ferris wheel booths etc, but just ended up ditching them.
imno, did you actually hide behind the dodgem cars or the whole dodgem car arena?
I went with behind the whole arena, grenades don't come often and you can the guys that come over to you, really don't have that much going for them. You can basically pop them off.
Just as per usual, getting McMillan to the chopper can be devastating, especially if you've spent 10 minutes constantly killing people.

That mission is even harder on PC.
I played it about 85 times (this is on the hardest difficulty, so think the difficulty on 360/ps3 and add twice as many levels).
I ended up sitting back behind the dodgemcars, behind a tree, just before you get into the radioactive area. You don't get many grenades (because they can't throw them without hitting the car, the Ferris wheel or a fence).
It still took a hell alot of time. 3 times the helo came down, but I got shot before getting to mcmillan, then once whilst carrying Macmillan. Won it after getting into a massive zone with the G3, just plugging headshots crack crack crack left right centre killing someone 85% of my shots.
I'm really looking forward to MW2.
In better news, I got me 360 back today from it repair, and it looks to be fixed \:d/ played Gears of War for about 30 minutes without any problems, then played HAWX (which I received today along with Fight Night 3, Saints Row and Army of 2 from the swap section of one of my long time forums for $90 all up) for 45 minutes.

Yeah, I like it a lot. I'd played a little bit before with my cousin, just 1 v 1, but the campaign is really good, and I love the whole cover system they brought in, makes it a lot more real for mine.

Yeah, The cover system is awesome, I didnt play much of the first game, but i wouldnt mind getting it for the campaign so i know the WHOLE story. I have Gears of War 2 and the campaign in that is probably the best I've come across ever. Its just an awesome storyline etc.

I like the storyline in COD 4 too. It's by no means a game that doesn't have storyline, or a good campaign. Get both..:p

COD games don't have "a" storyline, they have multiple - which pisses me off. You play a couple of missions as a US guy, then a couple as a fucking Brit, then a couple as a US guy again then a couple as a soviet..... >.<

COD games don't have "storylines". You are just some guy in a team of other guys shooting bad guys in a war. You don't give 2 shits about your character at all.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. has a storyline. Fallout 3 has a storyline Mass Effect has a storyline. Half Life had a storyline Metal Gear has a storyline.
Things that made you want to keep playing to see what happens next. COD is a game you play just to shoot shit up. I'm not a COD hater, just saying that its not a game you buy for its story.

Does Street Fighter have a storyline? I finally got up to the boss... You can win the first round easily, second round is impossible, third round you have a chance. ](*,) Is good though, forcing me to learn new characters.

So when's the rematch then marty? ;)
The more you take on Seth the easier he becomes. You have to realise he's a complete hack, so you have to be a hack back to beat him. (to save a bit of frustration it's good to set it to 1 round fights, makes things a bit quicker). Some characters I can beat him easy, others take me forever. For example, I beat him within a few goes when I was Akuma, but when I was Sakura, it took me over an hour! It helps when you have a stronger character who can give and take damage (can't wait to Zangief his ass)
You also have completing the entire game without continues to look forward to! :) (to unlock Akuma and Gouken)

Normally I would agree with you, the games are just for shooting stuff, but COD4 did it differently. Those compelling elements were there, you could connect with characters. That's why it's been acclaimed so much.

You don't 'connect' with characters in COD games! IIRC you don't even get a bloody name in WAW. But there is a storyline, its just very one dimensional and predictable. Of course, 'real' storylines exist in the RPGs, which are story driven not action driven. As boring as it got, even Mirror's Edge got you connected to your character.
COD games are acclaimed for their graphics and gameplay, not attachments to characters. Although some critics say things along the lines of "great storyline"... yeah, a great storyline for that genre, not games in general.
Dunno bout you, but I never cared about the character in COD games when he got killed. I laughed every time in Mirror's Edge when you didn't quite make the jump and you got crushed as you fell 300ft to your death.
