Well we had our own internet last year, then the housemate that was looking after it left and closed the account. So when I got back from my summer vacation, the landlord had already installed her own internet and I can't be arsed getting a different ISP atm.

Fucking epic FIFA match I just had. I was Spain and was leading 3-0 at HT. He was France and he made it 4-3, and then at the last possible moment Villa scores a 30 metre screamer to put us into extra time. Casillas saves Toulalan's penalty and Puyol slots home the winner. I hit the post 4 times, he hit it 3 times. Beautiful attacking football. Spain 4 - France 4 (Spain win 8-7 on penalties)
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Finished WipEout Pulse on PSP. Finished the game but boy was it a drainer. Started Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. Apart from the load times, it's brilliant.

My Zack was such a powerhouse at the end I had to let the end bosses hit me a few times just to make it look like it was challenging :) Saying that though, taking on the ultimate enemy (like in every other FF) is still hella challenging. The main story missions are great, but the 300 gazillion side missions get a bit draining after a while. My piece of advice for you, make sure you get the "Costly Punch" materia ASAP. It'll make things soooooooooo much easier.

here's a question for the people. which will be better? PES 2010 or Fifa 2010?
they both have big improvements needed in certain areas. pes needs to look back at pes 6 and see what went wrong from there. get online fixed- looks like they've 'got a team' working on it according to some website.. fifa have the potential to make a better gameplay..
i've played practically every fifa and pes since about fifa 95. when pes came in it had the better gameplay straight away. up to number 6 i was playing pes and thinkin fifa would never compete with gameplay again. then came 2008 and 2009 where pes went downhill and fifa improved. now they're pretty close and you can argue good and bad points in both. 2010 i'm hoping both games make the big improvements and give me a hard decision on which to play. at the moment i own both games but play fifa solely for online purposes..
and for those who argue about the kits and team names in pes, get an option file. problem solved..

Genesis Avatar was a bit of a drainer and it was annoying that DMW's didn't proc enough during the fight since I had Healing Wave and Rush Assault materia's equipped. Vital Slash pretty much owned it though. I didn't complete all the missions. They were way too boring and repetitive. That being said, it was a fucking brilliant game. I remember getting FFVII for Christmas back in '97 and fell in love. This was that all over again. Great story, great characters, great games. Long live Final Fantasy VII!

Now we just have to wait for Advent Children to be released on Bluray :) (though as of right now there's no date set for a "european" release, could always import in though if it's confirmed region free :))

I just beat a bloke 8-5 on FIFA. The best match I have ever played. Villa and Torres with 4 goals each.
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Been playing some COD4 recently. Hardcore HQ mode, it's pretty tactical, and not just random killing like DM/TDM. I think the easiest way to see that difference is in what kit I use.
In HC/HQ I'll mostly be using: G3 + Bandolier + Red Dot + Stopping Power + Last Stand or MP5 + Red Dot + Claymores + Doubletap + Last Stand
The G3 with Stopping Power in Hardcore is a 1 shot killer and is great on the more open maps, the Red Dot makes aiming easier. The Mp5 with Doubletap makes for a fast firing lethal close-mid range weapon, the claymores and good for dropping on the objective or just randomly around the map.
I get alot of kills with Last Stand, I use one of the basic pistols (not the USP, I think it's the M9), in HC mode it's as powerful as a Deagle, with far more ammo, quicker fire and being more accurate, you get killed, and all you often need is 1 or 2 shots and you have taken out the enemy.
In DM or TDM I just run around using a RPD + Grip + Stopping Power + Deep Impact and don't care about cover or anything.

I generally flit between using the M4 and the G3, both with Red Dot, Martyrdom and Stopping power, or the Dragunov when in a sniping mood.

My usual setup is:
M4 Carbine Dragunov Red Dot Stopping Power Matyrdom - I also have another one setup for HC without this.
ATM, I have all that bar the Dragunov as I re-did Prestige Mode and havent unlocked it yet.
We should all play together one night/weekend, all us xboxers with COD4
