Big W screwed me over, went to pick it up after they advertised it for today. Turns out not till tomorrow, so tomrrows the day.

Well I have 2 assessments due next week. And then 3 exams 2 weeks after that. So not until after then. But I'll prob crack and get it after these 2 assessments are done. Either way, it's faaaaar too long.

That it is, I was devastated when I found out I had to get it tomorrow.

How long does it take to get 'scanned' on that site Mack? Signed up last night, hasn't done anything yet.

It will take some time. Mine was pretty quick, so maybe it's doing maintenance. I've also donated to the site ($10), so I get scanned really fast.

I just cranked it up to Medium and the difficulty just ramped up. My first GH game so I'm just taking it easy.

Haha, Ive had all the games bar GH:2 & aerosmith so I'm not too bad at it now.

I don't like the majority of songs on the other GH games hence I never bought it. MetallicA is a step in the right direction. Now give me GH: KoRn. :d

Is it regarding acheievments?

A "boost" is basically 1 of 2 things:
1) Using a glitch/exploit in the game to earn a hard achievement easily.
2) Arranging to play with other people to earn hard achievements (usually MP or co-op based) quicker or easier.

Example, in Army of 2, there are achievements for killing a certain amount (between 100 and 300 depending on the weapon) of enemies with each type of gun (pistol, shotgun, SMG, sniper, assault rifle, machine gun). It's not that hard to do the machine gun and assault rifle versions whilst playing through (and the shotgun if you use that), but the sniper one is pretty hard because of the actual lack of ammo and difficulty of actually killing that many people with it.

There is a training mission, where you have to "heal" your AI partner who gets fake shot to show you how to heal the person. You can drag him around a corner, and then go back to the people who shot him, and shoot them. They count as enemies. They come out in a pair, and when you kill them another lot appears. 100 of them to be exact.

You also get unlimited ammo.

So you can drag him around the corner, take out your pistol, or your assault rifle, or the sniper rifle, or if you have swapped guns earlier, an SMG. You do the training missions half a dozen times, it takes about 10 minutes or less to do a single weapon and you can have those achievements.

An example of the 2nd version is from HAWX, the hardest achievement in this game (time wise) would be the "Get to Level 40" achievement, which will take a fucking eternity to do legit (I'm only level 29, and that's after playing the full game on the hardest difficulty, and playing quite alot of MP games already).

There is a kind of exploit to do this quickly, you can get 3 people (or 4, or 5), have 1 person be a decoy, a 2nd take the AA Missile Deflector pod, and the rest can shoot the decoy. The deflector will very quickly gain a huge score because of the streak bonus, and with 5 guys rotating they can get all the levels in one go. The other reason you would boost this achievement is that the level system actually unlocks better planes and weapons the higher you get. Example you need to be Level 40 to get all the best weapons for the F-22, or (iirc) level 37 to unlock the SU-47 Terminator.

A less exploity type would be ones in a game which isn't that big, someone needs to do something simple in MP or co-op, but the game is dead online, so they arrange a few people to all play together (example would be if I wanted the Army of 2 online achievements, the game is basically dead online, I'd need 3 other people.
