Kewell and his Yokohama team getting booed at the end of the game after losing again at home. Rare that happens in Japan, they are now down in 12th, be interesting if he gets another season despite the good ACL run.

Mitchell duke started and scored and his team are 5 points clear on top of the j league
For all the talk of moving duke on, there is an argument he is peaking in his mid thirties

Duke is a funny one. If he does well, it's very noticeable. If not, it's harmful as we need to get the other strikers playing. I think Yengi should be the incumbent. Duke, Iredale and Taggart are handy. Apo might fade or kick on even more.

Lutz Pfannenstiel bags another for St Louis. Marcel Hartel from St Pauli who basically carried them to promotion is leaving. Just insane a 28 year old in top form takes that. A few other Germans and JGR at St Louis now.

Anyone know what's happened to Popovic in Korea as he hasn't played the last 5 games at all. I assume injury but I can't find anything online.

Sadly, it appears that whatever qualities it takes to be a successful manager, Harry lacks them. This was a big opportunity and probably his last. There is only so much rope.

4:0 loss. Surely that's it for Kewell. A shame as the ACL was decent. Tough acts to follow but also he shouldn't have been expected to emulate Ange or Muscat.

+xIrankunda scored his first goal in his debut for the Bayern Campus. How was the level of competition? Alphonso davies played a mere 4 sub games and 4 reserve games in his first season so not expecting much even if he ends up that good

https://fcbayern.com/de/news/spielberichte/2024/07/spielbericht-austria-lustenau-fc-bayern-amateurePavlesic in goal with Irankunda scoring against Lustenau of Austria 2nd division. Austria start early and these friendlies are absolutely about easing back into the season. The next game is on Friday against Magdeburg with the Bundesliga 2 start only 4 weeks away now.

Boyle scored in a 1-0 pre-season win against PAOK.

That was why he was was appointed - to do exactly that. Harry can't need money. Time to look for a another post retirement path. Lord knows, the pressure cooker of management isn't for most normal human beings.

Lord knows, the pressure cooker of management isn't for most normal human beings. Some are simply more suited to being a first team coach or an assistant etc, might be more where someone like HK works best. I like to think that he must have something about him for Ange to bring him in.

Managers need a shot eventually but Kewell repeating what the others had done plus the inevitable drop for most clubs shows it was unlikely to succeed.

Bayern sign Olise from Crystal Palace and are targeting Simons also. Both 4-5 years older than Irankunda. Of course Bayern need to recruit regain their dominance and it's such early days for Irankunda.
I just kind of wish he'd gone to a lower Belgian club and been very impressive there from the outset. Nothing gloomy about the situation but the wishful thinking that he may even make a match day squad, let alone train with the first team, appears on the outer.

We know what he can do but he needs to settle in too. It's just the past record of our players getting bogged down at big club reserves and they hoard talent. As if Bayern really care about one players not making it when they have the capital to keep poaching from other clubs. Thankfully they have a good loan culture so here's hoping a winter loan at the latest to a first team.

I thought Bayerns reserves were Buli 3?

Great news about Nestory, having looked through the youth squad there's not a whole lot of forwards lighting it up... many have their deals ending 2025. Wagner had 15 in 28 games for u19s...if Nestory can score a goal a game... it will be hard to ignore him. The fact he's already makes me think they want him to make it.
