+x+x+x+x+x+x+xWhat is not skint, is the fact that the Apl will have live VAR during the semi finals. Leaders in Asia on this topic. Good on them. VAR has been good. Just like the APL making money for the A-league lol May as well hear what the refs have to say if they are going to have VAR, don't you agree?... As long as they don't overhear them saying 'I don't know', 'I can't be sure' or 'it might be....' otherwise the fans will go to town on the officials even more. This sport might as well be run by clowns, baboons or alcoholics LoL The APL have turned the A-league in to a giant! LoL A giant embarrassment LoL 😂 And to think at one point I was a season ticket holder for a club in this A-league lol lol in the franchise system this is called a "membership" lol hehe - rewards program, FF, Flybuys or coles rewards haha hey IF they linked up with Danny Murphs I'm in for more discount before heading to a NST game lol...... Hahahah nah mate to come to championship games you have to drink home made alcohol not this fancy store bought stuff. hahahahahahah

Most of the Aleague franchises have had 20 years to build a membership base and they will all have a senior team competing in the state based NPLs for their fans to follow.. They will just have to start building again to get to the top league.

+x+xMaybe if Danny Townsend didn’t blow the budget on last seasons ‘festival of football’ then piss off to Middle east (what a prick) - the Apl could afford a counter meal for the best players at the pub?! The APL CAN afford the event they CHOOSE not to hold it mate... thats the problem..... Spending money on bullshit money making schemes, dont give a flying fark about football or footballers.... never have, never will. THATS the MLS lite APL Franchise way . And people though Frank Lowy and the FFA was badly run! LoL FFA managed to persuade Foxtel on paying 40-60 million a year in A-league rights LoL As for the APL, I don't know how Paramount paid 40 million a year for this poxy league LoL

+x+x+x+x+xHonestly i dont mind. We dont have the budget of the nrl or afl. Grow the game till kur salary floor is 5milliom before worrying about luxuries. Get rid of var too, thats an extra 100k per club I agree, whatever, seriously why or who really cares whilst our so called top league is as such. The game has no pedestool to stand on - it would be a event just for themselves that is a waste of time/$ (they don't have) and their decision confirms it. though I just heard they didn't tell warrens family. Like why....basic courtesy Do you honestly think anyone at APL knows who Johnny Warren was? Probably not. Probably don't know who Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo either LoL Now that they have both retired not many people still do to be honest..... lol

+x+xJust picturing all of the players realising they no longer need to buy their SO a new outfit for the evening. "The Australian Professional Leagues (APL) have chosen to tone down this season's Dolan-Warren celebrations, which are usually held in the lead-up to A-League Men grand final week at a glitzy ceremony" "We've had some fantastic events over the years - of all different variety - but this year we wanted to bring the awards closer to fans and give them a platform to be celebrated during the biggest games of the year." "Other awards will be announced digitally" hahahahahaha the marketing spin is strong with these guys... hahahahahah This is amazing if true. Marketing spin is legendary lol

+xCFG lost $200m last year, wouldn't hurt that much to cover the Awards night ? Bwahahaha this dumb mindset. You want billionaires to fund this poxy league? What you want people to fund western United who get 1,500 people a game? Pump 20 million dollars a year on them for the sake of it? LoL

+x+x+xCFG lost $200m last year, wouldn't hurt that much to cover the Awards night ? Didn't all you ass 🤡 clowns said the FFA badly run this league? At least there was money to host these events. So what did the APL do to lose all this cash? I'm sure APL still have enough money for the Warren night But that would leave less for the Repucom gang to syphon Well if the APL can't afford the Dom Peringue or any of that high priced white 🍷 wine, buy the cheap shitty red wine 🍷 off the cardboard box LoL

Most clowns as you call them just wanted Lowys out no more no less, they set the Trojan Horse and here we are. Thank christ the current FA are way better than the past and trying to rebuild so thats the positive looking ahead.

+xhaha too funny MSC...... Christ with my boys I've enjoyed countless Club only end of season awards/dinner events let alone my own playing days. Who doesn't luv getting out amongst your fellow team mates supporters and Club officials, we've all contributed to cover those costs year on year out and as mentioned then the State Feds hold theirs for the NPL top flight. It sure is a farce of a decision. LoL

+xJust picturing all of the players realising they no longer need to buy their SO a new outfit for the evening. So no glitz and glamour for the end of season awards? Frank Lowy had the money to fund a convention centre and some beer and seafood for the event. Might as well set it up in a pub in Adelaide and bring your own goon sack lol So the Johnny Warren medal winner will be just taking a photo on grand final day? No glitz and glamour like the AFL Brownlow medal night? Shame

+xThe annual Dolan-Warren awards ceremony has been axed, with the A-Leagues set to announce the players of the season at halftime on grand final days. The Australian Professional Leagues (APL) have chosen to tone down this season's Dolan-Warren celebrations, which are usually held in the lead-up to A-League Men grand final week at a glitzy ceremony. It follows significant cuts at head office this year and a restructure overseen by the competitions' new commissioner, Nick Garcia. https://www.perthnow.com.au/sport/soccer/a-leagues-to-announce-dolan-warren-winners-on-gf-days-c-14360999 And these 🤡 clowns claimed that they are better run than the FFA! +xFor just $10 you can watch the APL All-stars teams train what i reckon would be better is instead of selling tickets, they sell license fees. each person who buys a license fee can then convince 6 more people to buy a license fee after them. Then after that, they can get people to sell license fees. It'll never hit a snag.
