+xWhich AA is the assist god? Surely McGree has a few. From yesteryear Kewell, Bresciano, Emerton surely had more than goals themselves. Leckie with a few no doubt. In our current squad there’s no question about it: Goodwin. In the previous cycle it was Rogic. Shame he retired so young.

EFL fantasy is up. Unlike EPL it's 7 players and you get to pick, up to 5 times the season, 2 clubs to win that weekend. Bonus points for goals scored and away wins etc. Unlike EPL there's no budget so you just pick who you want as they feel the odds are split across 3 leagues nicely. My first week team with some nostalgia (bad for fantasy)
Griffiths Mellish Bryan Szmodics McGree Yengi Sargeant

Maty Ryan played the full second half in Roma's 1-1 friendly against Kosice overnight. Both FotMob and Sofascore rated him higher than Svilar, who played the first half of the game.

Think he had the same assist numbers as the other forwards combined. Just his scoring rate was poor

Don't know if already mentioned but Garang Kuol is on the NUFC first team preseason tour.
Quite a lot on the tour mind you.

The Hajduk Split squad this season has added some real quality with Rakitic and Perisic incoming. Great players for both Noa Skoko and Anthony Kalic to learn from. However the signing of Perisic does raise questions as to how many starting spots Kalic may get. Personally I was looking forward to seeing Kalic kick on and put pressure to start on the left wing for the socceroos.

I don't know what formation Split play but you could realistically have Perisic LM/LW, Kalik CAM, Rakitic CM. Still you're right to say two players of that quality at Split will make playing opportunities harder. I would like to see Kalik get in the squad because we lack depth with our central attacking mids. Really only McGree and Hrustic unless Volpato decides to play for Australia.

We'll survive but Kalik and Genreau, for different reasons, have been underutilized for Australia.

Baccus is going ok. We need to be careful not to diminish defensive balance in the middle but the attacking benefit of Kalik on the 8 would be awesome. He has great vision and distribution superior to Baccus. We're blessed in many areas now and just need to get the most out of it.

For some maybe but we're all just football fans. I come here to learn stuff, engage and talk football. It might be fun to talk down to people but it doesn't cost anything to show respect. It would have been just as easy to say "I really rate Nisbet. His last two seasons at 10 for CCM were impressive and he'll keep developing overseas".

Souttar got the full second half against Shrewsbury. Fans overly impressed compared to the other centre backs. It's the manager's opinion that counts but these are steps in the correct direction.

Souttar was bought on a decent transfer fee on EPL wages so I can’t see him leaving until his contract is up. The only possibility is a loan move
