So like how relevant/important/special is the dockerty cup? I'm not in the country at the moment, so not up to current info, but why isn't the game played at either Oakleigh or Souths home ground?

Dockerty Cup is supposed be played at a neutral venue according to the brainiacs at FV however, as Oakleighs ground is being renovated at the moment and Oakleigh has been playing "home games" at the Home of the Matildas that seems to be a good enough home ground advantage for someones wife...... Makes sense really to have a final on a Saturday, which would draw 5-6 thousand if it was played at Lakeside, played at a ground with 2000 seats ... but then NOTHING surprises me anymore with FV. 

Ah okay. Crazy to think when i was playing there, the ground was trash, could barely even see the scoreboard haha. Hopefully the renovations come out nice. As for the game, I won't make it, haven't been to many games this year either, so I'm not sure who wins this one. Oakleigh seem to have a habit of beating south in finals though haha. Best of luck to both teams.

It all depends on who the referee appointed for the match is I suppose ... we ALL know who will get the whistle so I may be able to tell you the "preordained" outcome, 15 mins before kickoff..... 

If its a neutral ref, the match should be a corker... Whoever sores first, especially if it is lateish in first half will have the wood of the game.. If it goes goalless or tied until mid second half we may see some very pretty football from both teams, depends on who wants it more... Both have firepower up top, South have a slightly more organised defence but Oakleigh midfield is quick and ruthless...  I also predict at least one, if not two reds for this one...... Ill have a knot in my stomach until 3pm Satuday... either way, lets see what the football gods decide. 

What are the odds for Hellas to score from a long throw. 
Or set piece. 

I wouldnt put any money down betting against it... Hopefully more than once too.

Pales in comparison to melbourne greek restaurants, but i had a keo beer which is surprisingly decent for a bottled beer. Would love to try the tap version

WINNERS ARE GRINNERS.. Dockerty Cup #9 ... Very proud South fan today. The lads played like lions, with 10 men in a gruelling cup final... Well deserved, onwards and upwards now boys, could be a big week for HELLAS....

Magical nights at Lakeside keep rolling on :) Great, night, decent crowd, a spirited effort from weary players to keep a pro side out of the game. So proud lads, so so proud.
