Goal for Mileusnic in a cup match Watts bench
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

+xI kinda forgot Lyndon Dykes ever existed so I just looked up his stats. 5 goals in 30 apps this season (mostly penalties) and hasn't scored since last November. A quick search of his name of twitter yields lots of comments from QPR fans saying he's really bad. No loss for the Socceroos there imo despite our lack of ST depth. If I had to pick one Aussie/Scottish dual national for the Socceroos from the English Championship I'm easily picking Souttar every single day of the week. Exactly. Dykes had one good game against Celtic & the myth grew from there. And he said that Australia was the easy option. Doubt he'll get another game for Scotland

Full match for Delbridge in a 3-1 loss to Ulsan. Conceded a penalty and almost scored.

+x+x+x+x+xArzani, McGree two of our recent talents to have come through the aleague as our best prospects and both at the moment are not playing for their clubs. I know they quite young and can still come good once they find a decent envionment to flourish in, but ill ask this question has the aleague done a good enough job preparing these guys for the tough environment for Europe or is it players themselves that haven't gotten the breaks they need? Lets hope they come through because we have seen with former young prospects who have broke though at aleague level and once we have seen them struggle in Europe they come back home, and at least they have established themselves as good aleague players but unfortunately they are not good enough for European football especially at the bigger leagues. Riley Mcgree and Daniel Arzani are 22, it is not young. Especially in Europe. So i think the reason for the struggle with a lot of our players is in Aus these players are considered young and given slack when their performances arent up to scratch where as in Europe they are considered as mature so expected to play at peak level and not make mistakes. When they do they get dropped. We as a league need to start considering 17-19 as young and to instil this mentality in players and better prepare them for overseas. Also Arzani whilst talented when he left, only played 24 games at a league level so the league had no prepared him for Europe because he was not here long enough (which is common with Aussie players sadly). Mcgree has only played 79 A league games which is also on the lower end. I think their was a study done where players who went overseas with 100 + A league games did better overseas than those with less. Mooy for example played 102 games in the a league so basically a full extra season (and didnt have it broken up by a euro stint) Another reason to have a longer season (30 or more league games plus others, e.g., cup games) rather than the shortest season in world football that we have now. And Mooy, that Jaymz mentions, had a difficult job when he first went to Europe as he wasn't robust enough to handle the extended amount of games. Time we got moving on this front. Bring in a minimum of 4 new teams to the A League in as short a time frame as possible. dude. mooy went into the championship and was playing nearly 60 games in comp and cup. plus NT duties. had no breaks because of NT. there are very few players that would hold up to that. but aside from that agree. the aus league is pretty much part time. the injuries our players get consistently when they go to europe say to me that they also train at semi pro levels and they dont cope with the step up in training regimes. And of course you are fully conversant with all the details of the different training regimes which I'm sure is how you can make such a sweeping generalisation. Honestly, what half arsed nonsense.

+x+xRobertson on for the U23s in the 70th minute in a 5-0 win against West Ham. Didn't see or lad Watts on the Southampton u23s bench? Hope this means he'll be on the bench against Man City. Hope it doesn't mean injury Watts wasnt in squad for last senior game but played u/23's so dont think he was/is injured and senior team had some injuries so expect him back in senior squad for this game

+x+xBrighton under a lot of pressure now. Sanchez with a nice flap for the second goal. Wouldn't height be an advantage there? Long may the losses continue, hoping they go to League 1. only goal difference is keeping them out of the relegation zone now

Degenek started in a 2-0 win. Mabil (1-0 loss), Rogic (0-0 draw) & Armenakas (3-0 loss) all came off the bench.

+xBehich starting, again. What a difference a change of club makes. Has he locked in the LB position for the Socceroos now or Elder (he starts every game for Hull & they may get automatic promotion to the Championship next season) Healthy competition for the spot. Elder is very good. His debut for Australia keeps getting hampered by injury or pandemics.

they also have Halilović who cant even get a run... who told him to even go there on loan of all things? they full of young midfielders. Bizarre advice. I'm guessing Tepper has connections to Birmingham City?

+x+xMcgree isn’t even making the bench now He's a loan player. They barely care he's on their books. It's unfortunate but so are Birmingham City. Another loss. Yep. As said above when he’s played he’s done well so who knows. I don’t believe he’s not good enough I believe he hasn’t been given a chance. Ah well, aussies get treated poorly overseas, our boys need to deal with it
