+x19th September ..... meeting after meeting after meeting ....... NOTHING, not even a peep. Has anyone heard ANYTHING? On the positive, in this situation no news is probably a good thing. It means it hasn't been canned just yet and the CL format is likely off the table otherwise it would have been announced by now. I think we can assume that the Autumn 2025 start is very unlikely though.

They will pretend they didn't have the number of team's as per their Da Vinci Code Financial model and provide upbeat commentary allowing teams more time to secure sponsorship with the carrot of new teams in the near future to be announced. Meanwhile back in FA HQ, high fives all-round the boardroom while ticking off the hoodwinking "old soccer" teams again. Big boys smoking their pipes until another re-election...

I think you are right about kicking the can until 2026, but members of aafc seem to feel there is progress. So there might be light at the end of the tunnel. Mind you it was hard delaying it to 2025....this will be another year delay

Will be expecting this information in a 29 paragraph FA announcement with corporate and football buzzwords.

Smart money would be on the end of season champions league model.
Preston renewed its coaches contract the other day and mentioned npl and nsd. Reading between the lines that would suggest both competitions being played in 2025, it will be crap though that wont get much support, this will give the FA to excuse to come out and say well we gave you a taste of it and the interest wasnt there so we are binning 2026.

How fucking slow are FFA that they end up choosing 'the champions league' model after the champions league stops using it

Sadly, you are probably right.... A 2 day "festival of football" in Shitney with foundation clubs who may or may not have finished top of the table that year, and squads cleaned out of their best players by the Aleague transfer merrry go round doesnt appeal to this little black duck.... Looks like its "stuck in the farkin NPL" for us for life then :(

FA will push NSD to 2026, the lack of communication leads me to believe some compromise in under discussion for the interim.

As much as the whole NST will go back burner again am I being wrong thinking now that both our NT's are in dire need of new gaffas its a big kick in the arse for the FA. They have been complacent for sometime. IF we don't quali this easiest to quali WC its hells bells for them big time therefore this may lay pressure on doing something that is right for the game and great good news storey in the future. Just trying to look at this whole situation ahead in a typical hopeful way.

Soft penalty last night... Eh, can't complain too much, Lucas stumbled the player through on goal... if it was the other way around and not given we would have been baying for blood.... Thems the breaks. We had 3 shots on goal that could have easily gone in .... football is football...
