What worries me is the lack of urgency... We may qualify top two but if not it doesn't matter there is 4th and 5th round of qualifying  FFS whats that?... as long as we qualify and get at least 11th at the WC its "job done Arnie, heres your performance bonus .... right lads where is the next international junket off too"...

Maybe, but im also curious how good people think our players are. Maybe we all think 13-18 points is reasonable for a good manager and we all rate the players the same, or maybe people think we should get 20 to 30. Id like to hear people put a number on it

Now we've stuffed up in these apparent easier games. It was bound to happen eventually with the complacency, poor tactics and a bit of bad luck. These dips happen and the remaining games are all tricky in their own way.

It's actually always been like this. 2010 we had narrow wins in Uzbekistan and late late in Bahrain. Thankfully the others had drawn so even a goalless draw in Qatar was enough. 

2014 loss in Jordan and saved out skins with the late 2 goals against Iraq away. We should've won that Japan away game but it was a bonus point. 0:0 Oman away to open also. Hottest game ever Schwarzer said. 

2018 late win in UAE. We were stupid not to win in Saudi. Thailand away was the stuff up. 

2022 was full of ridiculous moments after an excellent start. Draw Japan away and actually put those Saudi chances away and were touching automatic.

Forgetting the seri a player, indonesia have winger born 2004 getting regular game time in the championship. That puts him ahead of any of our players but volpato, including robertson. We are good enough to win away from home with that big atmosphere 5 times out of 10, but averaged over ten games we will drop a lot of points in games we are favourites regardless of the coach imo

I think Arnie would be saying it is Aussie DNA that you have by virtue of being an Aussie as opposed to DNA you are actually born with.

I don't think Arnie is actually talking about the physical DNA at all and a refugee who is welcomed to a country/team by being told they too have the Aussie DNA may not cringe as much as you would think.
