I know you don't follow the A-League & I'm sweet with that, but Bratten has been a 4 times A-League Champion & 4 times A-League team of the season. I'm sorry you don't like him, but hard to argue his credentials. I'm not a big fan of Jordan Henderson, dumb of him to go to Saudi where his running, his main attributes, was never going to amount much in the heat, you need to rely more than than your physical strength when playing in the heat, but I would struggle to argue against his credentials for Liverpool. I dont have ANY feelings about him mate, never seen him play apart from one or two matches... For a player who is such an Aleague legend Ive never heard of him play for the national team..... Jordan Henderson wore the three lions shirt 80+ times mate... the comparison is laughable. Doesn't say much, England tend to pick Runners instead of players, but then I don't watch England, so know his England career little. I prefer players, Hendo is a runner. But even though like you (in Australia) my team in England is not not in the PL, I still know of him, especially when talking football in a country forum.

No thanks I'd rather stay in the championship where we have a chance to beat all teams. I watch the PL for the players, the clubs have stuffed up the competition, how surprising Man City, Liverpool & Arsenal top 3, YAWN, again. I dream of the day these BS rich clubs piss off to the European Super league.

I spoke to my friends yesterday & said a team like the Mariners (back to back A-League champions) would never win in the PL ever again. I remember Derby winning 2nd division & winning the Div 1 2 years later or Notts Forest went from Div 2 champions to Div 1 champions to European cup winners in 3 years. Every club that comes up, 2 of them go back down the following year these days. I call this a system that does not support all but 5-6 clubs in the English football. While not a closed shop as in the A-League, it might as well be. Funny too that you follow the AFL & that is a closed competition too.

Three sets of football fans watched that game all around the world. Liverpool fans - would have been disappointed at the poor finishing on display and the unexpected loss. As for AFL, mate that isnt even a sport... Thats a local pastime that has great financial and crowd support in 3/4 of Australia. They are an entertainment product, as long as there are teams to play and TV timeslots to fill they dont care about how good the product on the pitch is, who have they got to compare it too anyway? Think of AFL like WWE wrestling, or big bash cricket or Aleague football.. it just exists to have a shopfront to sell things to consumers...

I fully understand your plight & would suggest you continue your grievances with the FA & the APL, (who would struggle to run a chook raffle), but then I also think that FIFA are just as bad, as a matter of fact far worse, but I still tune in for every World cup, Euros, Asian cup & concaf. Even better a SFC v SMFC match were the loser gets relegated! hahahahahahahahahahaahahahaahahaahh Oh shit I can dream can't I? Its all good bloke, enjoy your football as I know you do.... I hate FIFA, UEFA, FA all the bloody "suits" are just as bad as each other... my only "crime" is I love my club too much
