+x+x+xCheers Quicky :) Lucas Inglese Cooper Halfpenny Zak Spiteri Ross Archibald Morgan Evans Jordan Lampard Javi Lopez Marco Jankovic All confirmed on 2 year contracts in recent days..... squad is staying together..... :) It will be interesting to see who goes and where. Preston have made some signings from other bigger NPL teams. Yeah they certainly seem to be "preparing" for something eh? Preparing for some BIG NEWS from you know who 🥵🤞.

I think all of these re-signings show the confidence they have in the new league going ahead, in whatever format that will be, and they want to be a part of it. This won’t be a second tier so if they want to put themselves in the shop window this will be the best place to do it..

+xHow much of the new foreign quota is left? Not sure. Lopez is Spanish but he's apparently an Australian citizen now so not sure if that counts, Bonada and Barcia are both Argentine but Im unaware of Barcia's contract status heading into the new season, however there is the +1 squad spot for an Asian player so that might be something to keep track of being that there are a few Japanese players in the mens and women's NPLV.

If he's an Australian citizen, I'm quite sure that counts. I think the terminology is (and I'm using the latest A-League regs as my basis point) "Players eligible for the Australian National Team". Being a citizen makes him eligible, so I would say that counts as Australian on his part.

Interesting Im guessing now he is now considered 'naturalised'(?) so thats 1/2 VISA spots filled (unaware if Barcia has signed back on) and the +1 for AFC player is open.

Going off transfermarkt.com theres a fair few Japanese free agents who are 190cm+, I think Japan would be the most likely option for AFC VISA players coming in as there is already a few that are playing / played in the NPL (so I'm guessing there some kind of link, an agent possibly). Would be interesting to see if that Asian squad spot allows for some Chinese, Korean or Middle Eastern players making there way through.

I thought we did well in the final game without one and in the 2-3 matches that Harry was injured... Esteban showed lot more tactical flexibility this season than in the past so I guess we wait and see... As long as Maxie's super arms hold up though I still think we will be shopping for a #9 soon. Three years of it and still proving to be effective in NPL... why change :)

Could be wrong but I was told he is a PR so who knows... fact is he has signed on for a couple more years so we MUST have gotten some sort of green light from Football VIC? And if thats the case he onviosuly doenst count as VISA player... 1 Argentinian confirmed, one more (possible/likely if Barcia stays on) means we would have a AFC/Oceania spot open for a striker.... I guess.

SO far its juts able to be shown in film festivals ... I thin their next stop is something in Italy now..... Im spewing, I tried to get tickets about a week out and it was sold out :(
